My son and I flew from Germany for the game against Tennessee and sat in A deck. We spent quite a pretty penny but it was absolutely worth it taking him to his first Ohio State game.
I really appreciate all the content THE Podcast guys put out. Simply put, you keep us connected to the team we love and make us smarter fans. I know we are all super excited for Monday, but couldn’t help but notice these past few days how new videos dropped and had north of 1,000 views by 7:30 in the morning. It’s awesome to see the fan base you have built. Austin, Bill and Birm we will be looking for you in ATL. Go Bucks!!!
Oklahoma fan here (season tickets, so those games). We drove to Ohio for 21st vs Tennessee ( overnight in St Louis, to Columbus Friday. And back to the hotel Saturday after that wonderful win...Sunday straight back to Oklahoma. After Christmas, headed to Pasadena overnight in Albuquerque, then Kingman NV, then to Glendale CA., Early next day, to Parking, then to Parade, then back to parking then That wonderful game Rosebowl on 1st, back to hotel in Glendale, to to Flagstaff, then to Amerallo TX, then back to Oklahoma, work a bit and then before you know it Drive to Dallas Friday morning, through still icey roads. Check into Sheraton go to that Wonderful Cotton Bowl and then head back to Oklahoma. The last game...I am not going as I must work some. It does add up that is for sure but we love ❤ our Buckeyes
Regardless of what happens on Monday I hope the fans appreciate what a run this was. When I looked at what this path was going to be I thought 'wow..that will be tough'. I wondered if we even got to the final would we be beat up. This doesn't seem to have taken a toll but one never knows. I do think Will's legs will play more of a roll than we've seen. There is no reason to hold that back any longer
Birm, to answer your OOC question. They played Pitt 4 years from 93-96. Washington 93-95. They had a home & home with UCLA in 75/76 plus the 76 Rose Bowl. And they played USC in 3 straight Rose Bowls 72-74. Anything else seems to be pre-WW2. That’s just some quick and dirty research so probably missed some.

Considering I am approaching 15,000. I am sure I will go over in Atlanta. I have been to the three games so far. Had to fly to all of them. And bought things at every game. I also have a list of things I have gotten every national championship game. Win or lose. Backpacks aren’t on it, but I would give you $4 for them. If you paid shipping. 😂

Oregon got hosed by having to play Ohio State in the Rose Bowl as a "reward" for winning the B1G and going undefeated. While I'm happy with how it turned out, it was still not right. The seeding, everything was just wrong. Last comment... The lower seeded team has won every game in this playoff other than in the first round, where home field played a big role. If that holds Monday, Ohio State is your national champion.
If ND does play man this game is over. Jeremiah will burn those CBs and then that'll leave the other weapons open. I expect Freeman to adjust some since its on the big stage
ND is not going to change to a different scheme than what got them to the championship game. That could go really bad because it takes time (games) for the players to adjust. Obviously anything can happen, but this is not a good matchup for ND. Other than the Tennessee game, the ND favors Ohio State more than the Oregon and Texas games.
Birm: I’m more concerned about ND QB R. Leonard escaping pocket on pass plays than on designed QB runs - also, I’m very disappointed that OSU QB W. Howard is not better at moving his feet & getting out of pocket and getting some yards on scrambles on pass plays…he needs to show that in his last game like Stroud did in Atlanta a/g Georgia in ‘22 playoff

Lou Holtz needs to go back to the retirement home. They need to turn off his mike. He thinks ND’s culture is better than Ohio State’s & that’s why they are going to win.
