Oh buddy, get ready to meat Chiddi off the edge, 6-6, 282, Redshirted him since we knew we were okay last year. Big, strong and FAST.

K-State historically outperforms predictions. They thrive on developing undersized backs, walk-ons and 3-star guys into draft material. They've had a lot of success with transfers & it all boils down to player ownership which is a high priority with Kleiman. Team chemistry has been very good every year and the fan base is excellent. They were much better than their record last year, losing to MU at Columbia on a last-second SEC record FG, and at Texas on a missed XP. OVER. 9 wins is the floor; but an undefeated regular season is not out of the question. There is not one game you can say no way they win. They have historically one of the best conference total wins & winning percentages on a par with Ok St., and they did very well against Texas and OU overall.

@@stevesims-d6c I’m with you. I love Johnson and think he could undoubtedly get them there this season. Just think they may be a year away from that type of season. But I do think you all have one of the best coaches in the country. He’s built a hell of a program.

Extra credit for the Simon Sinek book behind you!!!!! Overall good review, I watched Edwards and Johnson tear apart teams in high school (obviously not the same as Big 12 play) but I think we'll see a LOT more explosive plays for a change. We saw glimpses of his throwing ability in his limited play and obviously was very conservative in the bowl game, but excited to see the playbook get opened up, especially with the running threat of Giddions/Edwards/Johnson in the backfield...hell, bring back the triple option :) Defense will need to prove itself, and that is who will determine 8 wins or 11 wins. I'm willing to bet the difference on those four games to be less than 14 points total.

They are way more talented at DE and WR than they're getting credit for!

I wrote a piece on Avery Johnson highlighting that receiver room. I love Jayce Brown this year. One of my favorite sleepers

I like the upgrades in athleticism at the edge, they are young players but they should be more of a threat rushing the passer this year. I do think the DT spot is a bit more shallow and probably the weakest unit on the team until proven otherwise. Seumalo played well early on then kind of blended in the rest of the year

The defense only gave up like 22 points a game last year, consistently top 3 scoring defense in the big 12. I wouldn’t worry too much about the d.

As a Cats fan, I think this is a decent take at a distance. Def understand the DE concerns as an outsider, but they're really happy with their young talent. I'd say OL and DT are the big questions.
I think the coaches are very satisfied with the offense, probably missing one experienced guard or tackle. I think 8 would be a slight disappointment, but I'm hesitant to say this is a Big 12 championship team. Probably similar finish to last season, just missing out.
Who knows though, this league is going to be insanely entertaining.

Will Lee leaving is probably addition by subtraction, he had too many lack of effort plays even though he was physically gifted. Garber can replace him easily imo.
Kobe Savage was a step less dynamic last year coming off an ACL but you can’t teach the instincts he showed, especially in run support. I’ll miss the nose he had for the ball

Hated people comparing Will Lee to JuJu. They have juju last year and I truly believe they make the playoffs. The big plays against Texas and Missouri could have been somewhat bottled up having a true lockdown on their top options.

@@thekrakenguy6962 Juju was a big corner that played big too, he was a dog and a hard hitter for a CB. Will Lee was only sometimes physical

Kstate will go undefeated this season on their way to winning the big 12 and being in the playoffs. The act like Austin Moore isn’t there the best tackler on the team. Parrish is very good. They lost to Missouri last year on a 62 yard field goal last year lost to Texas on our kicker choking. Lost to Iowa state in a snow storm. I mean let’s be real here they will not lose more than a game in the regular season

Pretty good review really. Hard to really onow all these teams. There star power in that Secondary, especially at safety. Missoui got smashed by Kstate the year before....friggin destroyed. Kstate would have won easily at home. MU needed a walkoff 61 yd field goal at the end of the game to win. Garrett Oakley is the Sinnot replacement, wont be that good but just as good as any other tight end in the BIG 12. Missed the other now NFL lineman that was drafted next to Beebe. Kstate oline is old and only partially experienced.

These guys really have no idea what they are talking about. They do the most surface level overlook on a program. There are 100 things in this video where they are simply uninformed and talking about things as if they have the facts. Even during the schedule overview they clearly couldn't be bothered to look at last years schedule if they think Tulane will be a look-ahead game for K-state. This coaching staff has a good track record of knowing what they have and they seem to know they have some players who just haven't had the chance to see the field, and its criminal not to mention how good Austin Moore is, the safeties shouldn't be counted on too much in the run game with him in the game. At the end of the day, I think 9 wins is a fair number but at least get the roster right(Jake Clifton is on a Mission and not with the team but listed 2nd on the depth chart).
