Looks identical to my fridge, but different brand. Worries about coolant lines on top for the tower cut? When cooling, gets warm on sides, but not top. Starch or baking soda & alcohol trick didn't show anything. Appreciated!

Thanks for the vid. Looking to do similar. Did you test anything before cutting hole on top or just wing it? I’m freaking that I’m going to cut a line!

For this style mini fridge, the coolant lines are on the sides. If you're not sure, put your hand on the top after it's been running awhile, and compare that to the sides. It'll be very warm in the general area where the lines are. Hope that helps!

Cool I am super tired of all the empty cans. I am going to build one of these. Hows it working out for you?

It's been 4 years and still going strong! I've been wanting to upgrade to a new one, but this thing just does the job. If I were to do something different, I would leave the CO2 tank on the outside. It won't give you enough room for a 2nd keg, but more room for pint glasses and canned or bottled beer. Cheers!

Hey - quick question... does this converted fridge fit a 1/6 barrel keg (5.15 gallons)? I just converted my old mini fridge but I’m dumb and didn’t measure it before I did all the work and the keg doesn’t fit... now I have to get a new cheap mini fridge to convert and was thinking of getting the 4.4 cubic ft magic chef that you have. Can you also touch on drilling the hole in the top... did you have to avoid coolant lines or is the top just insulation? I want to do the exact fridge so really appreciate any details you can provide

It fits one 5 gallon Corny keg normally used for home brewing and a 5# Co2 tank with only the modifications I showed in the video.
If your 1/5 keg isn't fitting you've either got a narrower fridge or the door needs to be trimmed a little more. I can't remember if I showed how I trimmed the door, but it's easy peazy and can be done with a razor knife.
I don't believe there are coolant lines it the top of my fridge. The easiest way to check: turn it on and run your hand around the sides and top. Whereever it gets warm is where the lines are.
      Good luck to you! Cheers!

I'm sorry you said a 1/6 barrel. That keg appears to be only 1/4" larger in diameter, and the height difference shouldn't matter. I think you should be fine if you really trim the door out some more.
