Thank you for sharing. I was only there Monday and didn't get into any of panels so it was nice to see inside the Celebration Stage. There were far fewer people there on Monday.
Agreed, not the venue I would of chosen for such a big event, they should of booked the stages at the NEC, Birmingham UK… which are so much bigger and set up for such major events like Celebration… Birmingham is a great city too for after show sightseeing, bars, restaurants etc
It honestly ruined my entire experience I'm ashamed to say. If there was a thousand less people, I think I'd have the time and room to enjoy it. It's no one's fault, but i wish the general public had at least more spacial awareness when out in public. The amount of people who physically tried to walk through me was mind boggling and frustrating beyond belief. People need to be aware of their surroundings and i don't think that's a huge ask.It should be a default mode of behaviour for most, but sadly it isn't.
Been following your videos last few weeks preparing for my First time going to star wars celebration I'll be there tomorrow setting off at 4 in the morning to drive down to London can't wait looks good and I've got in for the Obi wan Kenobi panel going to be awesome.
@Virgil Blaze So i see, been to other events st the Excel and they seemed better organised than this. Mind you, that was pre pandemic, so good while ago now.
Due to a time conflict I can no longer go to the bad batch panel. If anyone would like two tickets for Twin Suns please let me know. I wouldn’t want to waste them.
Looked like you had a good time, I went but didn't win lottery so couldn't even watch the Lucasfilm panel which think is crazy, for them to not be streaming it to the rest of the people at celebration who couldn't get into the stages, is just sad to go all the way there and then not be able to even watch it. Don't know what you thought, but felt really difficult to move round the excel, like they oversold tickets, oh well.
Extremely difficult to move especially the set up they have in this venue. Im trying to make the best of it buy yeah certain times u couldnt even move literally.
I'll be completely honest, from what I've heard no ticket checks were being done. So not sure if it was overcrowding or just very poor gate management at the first and only check.
@@markc5193I literally went to pick up my tickets yesterday (Saturday) for Sunday and then the only way we was told to exit was through the food court…so we stayed in and saw most the booths and live stage for the rest of the day. Very easy to get in with no ticket lol
@@isosolo5664 I've been told the entry point into the excel before queuing inside is the closest you get to a ticket check. Then nothing after that. That first check is security apparently and they were mostly waving people in. My mate is livid he paid for tickets when it was so easy to walk right in. Either the event organisers are operating on A LOT of good will or they have just completely messed up and dropped the ball somehow forgetting to sort out a proper ticket check
Just curious, how did you get into the showcase panel. It look like you was just chilling :D We where there at 07:45 and was in line forever and ran to the celebration stage just to get denied entrance.
Yeah it wasn't a pleasant experience. I forced myself to try and enjoy parts of the first day because of the money i'd spent, but i'll never do it again that's for sure.
Yea it was stupid, so much space they could have used to separate some things but they crowded everything down the east end. It was anoying today since they literally put all the good things, for example clone wars in the tiny secondary stages, while that’s what everyone wanted to see, we arrived 3 hours before and it was already rammed, every other event had about 1 hour 30 minutes before the start till it was full, it was absolutely insane, and instead the main stage was used to talk about props and outfits from ROTJ which is still cool but should have honestly been on a smaller stage. There was also way too many people for the events; they should have used all the remaining space in the venue and made stages like the celebration stage have the capacity for 10 or so thousand people instead of a measly 4k
@@amarokdcs1062 I feel you man. I had a drink at the bar and that mellowed me out to enjoy the rest of the event. I was ready to leave within the first two hours but gladly was convinced by my sister to meet Ian McDiarmid first.

Oh nice!
Looks busy, great panels, and some great cosplay as well.
Busy is an understatement. I could barely walk for the first 2 hours.

I had a Jedi vip badge so that includes seats to all panels.
@@starwarssith66 ahh that's why. Thanks 🙂 Must buy that the next time. Spend most of my time queuing it feels like :D
I'm glad it wasn't as rammed as that on Sunday and Monday when I went
Yeah Sun and Mon def way smoother.
2:41 R2D2 where are you going?

So weird seeing it in the excel.
OH MY GOSH THAT WAS YOU?!? I SAW YOU!!!
Yes!
Lol my friend was there I think I saw him in this vid
Nice!

Poorly managed convention. It felt like a crush was about to happen at one point in the hall
