So interesting! It is such a twist that the city Anitta cursed with famine eventually became the capital of the Hittites. And that it too eventually succumbed to famine.
This video is very informative and well-made. I learned a lot about the Hittite Empire and King Anitta. I especially liked the part about how Anitta defeated the Hatian cities and united central Anatolia under his rule.
Doesn't have to, this area had some experience with a prototype steel experiments around 1800BC, so chances are big that the throne was made of iron from the earth
@@Linduine that’s fascinating, makes sense to have the symbol of power and leadership, the throne, made out of the most prestigious materials and minerals available. Do we have an accurate depiction of said throne??

It would be amazing to hear all those lost languages spoken as they originally were pronounced, scraps of which may still be, being used by descendants. Do we know how big their cities were?
Hattusa at the peak of the Hittite Empire was 40-50k. Judging by the size of Anitta’s expeditionary force, I would roughly estimate Nesha and/or Kussara to be under or about 20,000 during Anitta’s time.

True! He even cursed the city and yet his successors still made it their capital!

Meteoric iron was used many centuries later, by Arctic dwelling tribes.

No
