Man we Mustang fans dreamed of a Mustang like this back in the 80s,and nineties when we were getting whipped by GM back then,now Ford is giving you what we had to build on our own back then,great cars today,I love how Ford re did the 302 5.0,I always told all my GM buddies the 302 is a great little motor,they have always been Fords signature engine! Great car!

I have a GT350 and a Ten speed GT both 2020 and the ten speed wipes the GT350 till she gets going into the top end.

@@TheSprykilla gt350 is faster than a stock 5.0 manual vs manual especially from a roll or on a race track where you are constantly revving them out to redline it has far more power for far longer up top
@@michaelharris748 You have to compare the 10 speed vs the manual. Since the gt350 CANT be had in auto which hurts it's performance times in every segment and hurts buyers since most Stang fans buy the autos. The GT with the 10 speed and performance packadge will typically beat a gt350 from a roll due to torque and gearing
@Trevon Adams Yeah, overall in the quarter mile which is the best measure for overall performance the gt350 is a few tenths slower then the 2018 GT. But I'd much rather have the GT350 then the GT of course, I love both

I drove a stock 17 5.0 auto last night and had a shit eating grin on my face s550 are awesome!!! I'm so happy ford has come so far in refining these cars. Watching Andrew rip around in this 18 makes me want to go drive one too.💪👌🔥🔥🔥

Approximately 600hp engine ( flywheel)- 448kw . Awesome and not only sound fantastic but go like hell -very fast N/A car. With a steeda kit hop on the rear etc - and tires I think you can get into the high 10’s.

I own Eric's old 15 Roushcharged GTPP.. Matt tunes my car he is a amazing guy and as far as customer service goes I've never seen anything like it great service that car has the Roush 2650 now and it's crazy fast... Matt and the guys at ID are great I'm in Md... he always let's me know when he is around and of o need anything best service hands down and my car is stupid fast..

Every exhaust review for a mustang says oh it’s great when you’re not on it! Yeah well it also has a transmission that puts it in such a high gear it cruises at 1,100- 1,200 rpm. I’ve got axel back exhaust and feel like anymore noise and I’m gonna start pissing off my neighbors 😂

MotorTrend has a good article on exactly why the auto is so much faster than the manual in the 2018 models. The auto is has a huge mechanical advantage over the manual. That is why it feels like it has so much torque. The auto was significantly faster than the manual...at least a 1 second 0-100

Bigdaddytrucker you have to lower the engine a little bit. Either that or cut a notch under the hood where it closes.

Imagine some GT 350r super light weight wheels, along with a carbon fiber driveshaft! The combined reduced rotational mass would definitely be very noticeable i would imagine.

Track mode my man, Track mode....can't beat the rev matching and the ability to "free rev" with the 18 Auto in track....I love my 18 and actually drive it more than the 09Shelby at this point...

Hey guys love your videos. Have been watching your videos for awhile, always good content and info. While it’s too bad Scott is not on the channel anymore you and Ashley have continued the channel just as good if not better. Always look forward to seeing more videos on Ashley’s sick s550 and one of baddest terminators out. Only downside to your videos is makes me want to get a mustang more and more. Torn between a Mach 1 and I’ve always wanted a terminator. But keep up the good work and look forward to more videos.

No, Mercedes does this for higher engine combustion efficiency (fuel economy). If it does provide more power, it's a negligible amount at best.

The new auto is a great trans if you want an auto. If you live where you can really stretch the legs on backroads manuals are way more fun and they're not that much slower if you can actually drive. I'd rather run mid 11s in a bolt on manual than low 11s in a bolt on auto simply because its much more fun to drive and something to be proud of when you RIP off a great time...about anyone can do it in an auto theres too many people on here bashing the manual saying it's slow because it runs 3 tenths or so quicker on average vs a well driven manual the autos have gone high 11 stock fastest times manuals have gone real low 12s I wouldn't say that makes them "slow" by comparison unless of course you suck at driving manual then there may be the 1-2 second difference in times some on the internet act like there is between the two
Fast autos allow fake car guys to participate nowadays. half fast auto guys can’t drive stick at all. I rather manual instead of some fake form of accomplishment. Unless I was solely chasing ets then I’d go for 10 speed but I choose driver involvement/fun.

I have a manual not sure if I really notice anything when switching from normal to sport ect power wise. Also seems like I lost a little power up top after sct tune will the cobra jet make up for the power thx

I was on board with these 10 speed autos until Road and Track ripped off a 0-60 with a 2018 manual car in their July issue that was just a tenth slower. Now... I don't know.. An automatic is more reliable in a heat (can't miss shifts) but my god is a manual more fun in a canyon or on a mountain road.

Ive never seen a modern performance car with so much transmission paddle lag. I swear theres like a 1 second delay from when you pull the paddle to shift, till the actual gear shift.

That’s for the PP cars not base models but the 3.15 gears have better top ends than them 3.55
Technically you can get an auto car with 3.55s without the performance pack if ordered correctly. They are standard on the pp tho

@@mattmcgee3643 I think it is a real shame because I do love all the upgrades a newer GT has over an older model such as the 10 speed transmission and the Magneride. However I think this is Ford's worst facelift ever. I still have not warmed up to this new design because in traffic I still see a lot of older 2015 Mustangs and keep comparing.

Love the car, but those paddle shifts still have a terrible delay of about a full second. If they can tune that out, the paddles will make more sense to use. Until then, I’d just leave it in drive 100% of the time.

10 speeds are fun...but lose a bit of whp (like every auto) I was surprised to find out my mt82 5.0 pp1 beat a auto pp1 5.0. Was a very good race and I pulled top end. Now he’s got a cobra jet and I’m gonna get dusted
the American Muscle 2018 GT made the same power same mods minus the cobra Jet manifold, cobra jet added no power?
RedWhite Blue this is really late, but to answer your question, that stock 18 manifold really maximizes air flow for the 5.0 in general. Overall, you’re not going to get much of anything in regards to more HP using the cobra jet mani on the 18. These cars are already pretty maxed out. I’ve been seeing the same exact parts being put on s197 11 - 14 5.0’s and s550 15 - 17 5.0’s and they’re all putting down around 490 rwhp, so that’s really similar to the 18 with these bolt one. If I had an 18 I’d just get some LT’s, forced induction then call it a day. The 18 is going to put out just about the same numbers N/A as the previous coyote generations
