These stories are priceless, I can listen all day. I’m a bit addicted to these stories now, I just hope they don’t run out to soon. It’s another world for sure
Dean T, I found Old Time Radio about six years ago when WGN Radio from Chicago started an Old Time Radio show hosted by Carl Amari. I haven’t had a tv in twenty years. I’m sixty years old presently and I listen to about three hours a day. But it’s my opinion that I will NEVER run out of radio performances that are new to me. BBC has such a great library of performances. Once I searched ‘Australian Old Time Radio’ and I discovered another great avenue for the genre. I am simply amazed at the plethora of radio shows that are at our fingertips. Just amazing. ☮️
@@guyhadsell3976 Gday guy I’m 55 but in similar situation as you I just love listening to these old time stories. It’s great to know there is someone out there doing same. Peace and health to you from Melbourne Australia ✌️
@@guyhadsell3976 Carl Amari's WGN Radio Theater left WGN and relocated back to WIND AM 560 a few years ago. It's on Saturday nights from 8pm to midnight.
I thought I knew every episode of Dimension X and X Minus One, but somehow I don't think I've ever heard this one before. It's a good story too, I'm in genuine suspense.
A bit of a pat ending, but what can you expect with only a half hour to work with. But I tell you, this episode exactly as it was would make a hell of a pilot for a dramatic series.
I love these shows they're great. Wasn't life great then even tho I wasn't born till 68'!!! I prefer these to our ones in England but u guys will say we prefer the English ones!!
You're so right Simon I think I enjoy the English one's better but these are great I just found these dimensions X's a couple months ago and I can't find enough peace enjoy
@@wmill5992 yep, and in 1989 the first episode of Star Trek the Next Generation predicted World War 3 for sometime in the mid 21st century. Science fiction of the past is always interesting to look at in a historical context.
Wow 1951. When this was aired Einstein was still alive. This young boy who played the kid is brilliant and this is one of the best stories I've heard on Dimension-X. A question, is Dimension X-1 a different series or this one? Thanx for the upload
X Minus One is a revival - sort of - of Dimension X. I believe the first 15 episodes reused Dimension X scripts, but the episodes that followed were new scripts.
@@OTRR Thank you OtrR that's much appreciated as I've long wondered that. I find these shows so good and the only problem is, they have to end. Take care and thanx for keeping us sane thru this covid mania!!

Propbaly one of the most unique time travel stories I have ever listened too.
Amazingly well done program. It inspires deep thought. Very enjoyable.
This one has to be a favorite of mine from Dimension X. Such a great story! ☮️
Best time travel story ever
Great tale.
Wow; what a well-written, well-produced, and well-acted radio play.

Came seeking this episode, as its original story was written by H. Beam Piper, my favorite science fiction author of all time.

I found it interesting they referred to a World War 3 in 1975. Tells you had they felt after World War 2 had just ended
Yes Simon, I love the BBC shows that run over an hour. I very much am partial to the British OTR plays.

@@wmill5992 Predicting World War III would be in 1975 is probably approximately 50 years too early.
This script was also realized in the X Minus One series. But here the boy has a better voice.

I guess I'll comment since no one else is going to
Patience.....
The ending doesn't make sense. The money won't do him any good without the knowledge.
That didn't give away the ending.
