Something just occured to me about "It's good to be king!" There's a ancient disguised as one of the villagers. He had to be there at the sametime as SG1 in order to record the history.
Bring back Stargate please. Have a new team, with the alumni that want to return play roles as superiors; Sheppard, Sam, Teal'c, Ronin, Daniel, Picardo, McKay etc... Make the overarching plot about hunting the Destiny, which has completely lost contact after their last transmission teased a huge discovery/new enemy. Of course, you can have plenty of standalone episodes in between new tidbits of Destiny info, that can take us to new and familiar places. There's still much unresolved conflicts with the Wraith that can also be a focus. No F'n reboots!!! plz and thank you :)
If you like to keep employed, Get #AmazonPrime to take up #DarkMatter season 4+, SyFy bloody cancelled the show just as the Black Ships arrived,... SyFy always ruins the best shows.
They should create the idea of "Space Force" for a continuation for the show, doubt it would be created in real life, but with this show it would make more sense then trying to keep things in the Air Force and Marines control. Move the Antarctic gate to a space station and operate from there, retire the original base. And then the story goes on, new SG Teams. Multinational Earth members with other human colony members or "aliens" and actually follow the adventures of multiple teams each episode with crossovers. At least 3 SG Teams, one episode SG-1, another SG-3 (most novice team), another with SG-2 & SG-3 and so on. Introduce sonic weapons, man sized Rail Guns, stuff that the military is researching now. Oh and go back to shooting it like the original series, not the SG-Universe/Battlestar Galactica moody stuff.
Why do people think the Furling must be furry just because "fur" is in their name? The Tok'ra weren't okra farmers. The Asgard didn't wear butt protectors. The Goa'uld weren't Jewish.

I am wondering if the writers knew of Dolores Cannons work because much of the aliens in the shows sound like channeled aliens from her regressions.

I would love Dark Matter to get renewed, however given the choice I would rather he work on more Stargate.
