Hey all you experts that say Dylan can't sing get a load of THIS! This is just wonderful. Sometimes I think "Bringing it All Back Home" really is my favorite Dylan record. And Baby Blue is only one of the gems on it. Too many masterpieces..
J. Dallison. Lol. There are several notable standouts that would be a good collective argument! Another element is that he has a keen musical ear and is always in tune when singing live even in the days of bad sound systems and substandard monitors. It's a very hard thing to do when you can't hear yourself. You have to know the notes in your mind and send the signals to your voice.
Dylan is his own Master! Another one of hundreds of gems that Dylan wrote and sung over the years, never the same version, but the same person. No one can do that to be honest! Pure genius. Period. From the early 70s when I discovered him by accident, I never stopped appreciating his music! Thank you for sharing this. God Bless!
No soundboard? Who cares?! This audience member is "a gem" and has one too. Of the RAH shows/songs this certainly stands alone. As always I thank you again!
You can really hear the transcendence of the music of Bob Dylan thought the album's. I mean 'Another side of Bob Dylan' was a nod to a turn to a more intimate direction and then Bringing it all back home is kind of a farewell to the old self and welcoming the new thin Mercury sound. And Highway 61 revisited is going deeper into that direction both in terms of writing and perfecting the overall feel of that music type. And Blonde on Blonde had magic in it. It is like pouring magic into your ears.
We used to play this all night in the local cafe in the 1960's Great Song. I see Joan Baez there in the picture. They were an item then. Check her out too. 'Diamonds and rust' 1975. Worth a listen.
Hello, SP! I agree with you when you say "this is an incredible version of this song. Dylan's pronunciations and singing voice are gorgeous." My God... This song is wonderful, but the nowadays interpretations of Bob is almost incomprehensible... I love this version. Thanks for avaliable for us.🙏🙏😘
Phenomenal version of this Dylan staple. Honestly, I have not heard an unfavorable version! Would you happen to have any live recordings of "If you see her, say hello" or Abandoned Love? Or Ballad in Plain D? Thanks for all you have shared btw!!
Hi. Just to make you aware only there is only one Royal Albert hall & that’s in London, the one in Manchester is called Albert Hall. Ty for the uploads
IT's marvellous. What do you know about 4 different versions of Sad eyed Lady, 3 you can find on Collectos Edition of Cutting Edge, but there must be a fourth one posted by jef, that i've lost. So if you have it could you repost it, one of the greatest lovesongs ever written?
I love One Too Many Mornings at this gig. Well the Manchester Free Trade Hall one which I think is one and the same. The intro pulls my heart out of my chest. That look on Joanie’s face ffs. Not the look of 💕. Bob deffo married and had children with the right woman.
Oh! Bobby as long as your Art preserves Forever Young It's not all over now! The reference to Jung's theory of syncretism( take what you've gathered for coincidence) Is a step forward into the Evolution of Dylan's philosophy of Life. The last Song he played at Newport folk festival in to the infamous show of '65. His last goodbye to the new left world ( Oh but I was so much older than/ I'm younger than that now)/ crying tears of Rage/regret/ contempt. The end of a Life & the start of a totally different music Adventure. As usual, he was right. Ladies & Gentlemen here to you in voice & harp in all of His splendor the coolest & Amazing guy in all the universe/the beloved boy from the North Country/ the only One Who took the Torch of artistic Genius & creativity from Picasso & changed everything!. A lesson for the fucking idiots Who pretend that he Can't sing! They really have a lotta of nerve to repeat the outrage. This Awesome rendition of an outstanding Masterpiece ( One of hundreds he wrote) confirms Sinatra's sentence: "Noone inhabit a Song like Dylan does neither me". & For me that's One Is ultimate about the matter! Dear Swingin', sometimes Just like in this post of yours " too much of Beauty can make a man Blind" & believe me this Is a bitter Truth! Nevertheless, Dostoevskij said that One day Beauty Will save the world. He spoked about the Beauty of Jesus Christ, but Surely the beauty of Bob's Art Is a shelter from the Storm a solid Rock to cling to throughout the ugly days of our present time/ without ideals or violence. I Wish you & all the Bob listeners a wonderful Sunday. 🌈🤗🎶
Unfortunately, I've tried to do that before and it didn't end well (it's very illegal), so I won't be sending them to people anymore. Some bootlegs pop up on eBay sometimes though, so I'd recommend checking that out. I'm sorry!
Santiago Monleon Mostly from eBay, local record stores (there’s a secret passcode you have to tell the guy for bootlegs haha) and trades online. Been a few years in the making, but I believe I have just about every note Dylan recorded from 1960-1966, then a big handful of stuff afterwards. If you can get your hands on the Cutting Edge: Collector’s Edition (unofficially sometime pop up on eBay), that’s the best official release for die hard fans that’s ever been put out, but unfortunately, the real deal fetched thousands of dollars (they only copied 5,000). I was lucky enough to get one as a present when it was released (in 2016 it was not thousands of dollars). This recording was part of the digital add-on “live extras,” all of the live performances Dylan did in ‘65. Sorry for rambling, I just love talking about this!
@@SwinginPig It makes me jealous if you really have every note from 60-66! Very historic, and very impressive! Keep up sharing the Dylan stuff as much as you can away with; youtube is a bit of a wasteland since they took down Sad-Eyed Lady.
Bob saying goodbye to the Folkie Communist/Fascists who wanted to use him as a propaganda tool. Went to Woodstock and worked with the Band guys (they weren't The Band then) and came up with some of the best music ever.
Listening to this blasting out on the farm. My friend out thank F. Or she’d give off hell. A true grumpy old woman. An approximate Queen. Getting on my fuckin nerves. Probably move on after my birthday Thursday. Am havin a party with a motley crew of her mates I’ve invited. A young man called Conor which means Lover of Hounds/Wolves, maybe his granny whose play list he played for me the other day. I’d love her more. ua-cam.com/video/GToiPtGJ9Os/v-deo.html
This Version is not THAT incredible. Hey, this is Bob Dylan 😇 Only the UA-cam User Gunn always uses words like this in his uploaded BD vids. Calm down Folks. Just estimate what is to estimate. No offences none taken.

BIABH is probably one of my favorites, as well. Just a fantastic sound all around. Plus his voice is incredible on it.
So right 'Too many masterpieces' - BIABH contains some of the most amazing song lyrics ever to be recorded.

Olive Eisner You are spot on!
I must have bad hearing cause I think Dylan can sing great. Favorite album for me is Time Out of Mind.
As so many people have said, a genius to be thankful he was among us
This song and performance is just incredible.
Hi I’m running
Thank
I've never heard a version of this song that isn't heartbreakingly beautiful! From 1965 all the way to 2019!
If I had to choose just one Dylan song as my ultimate favorite, this would be it.
Incredible performance, particularly the vocal. Was fortunate to see him at the RA hall in 66. A night I will remember for the rest of my life.
Ahhhhhh here comes a singer

Incredible version, indeed.

I wish bob would tour solo just one more time, just him and his guitar
Wow
Wow! Love it! Thank you!
Do you by any chance have some rare recording of "You're a Big Girl Now"? That one always feels so wonderfully bittersweet.
