For the cake
5 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
1.5 cups flour
1.5 tsp baking powder
For the milk soak
1/2cup cream
2.5 cups
4 tbsps granulated sugar
For the caramel sauce
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup cream
1 tbsp butter

This is traditional guinese dessert recipe called "tres leche cake". my friend use to make it. It is awesome !

What to do if the caramel sauce turns bitter? Or does it generally taste bitter?

You haven't used evaporated milk in the liquidy mixture, kindly tell me if adding evaporated milk to the the cream n milk mixture the taste would taste different?
