Yup the spider is rather knackered but once it speeds up past 1000rpm to it's maximum 1400 the banging/knocking noises disappear and it is very quiet - apart from the obvious drum wobble which is the clear indication that the spider has gone.

these are indeed very quiet (until they go unbalanced to high speed, anyway). the programming is what lets these down. by miles
