To be fair, the rumor has always been that Horizons was closed because of a sink hole. They filled it with girders after tearing it down to build the mars simulator.
So is he doing like a impression or is it his actual voice? I don't mean to offend anyone but it just sounds like a impression or something like that to me.
Definitely my favorite park at Walt Disney World! I love Epcot it's so unusual that I just cant get enough of it. Great Randomland sir! Too Weirrrdddd.
+Jesse Fournier its not really unused. They still open it during special events and festivals like Food and Wine. The attractions inside are gone though.
+ReviewsTechNow That's true. I'm hopeful that Disney will eventually put something in there though. That pavilion has so much potential. Also, they are going to use the second floor of the Imagination Pavilion as a DVC member lounge. Lame.
+ReviewsTechNow he talked about the odyssey which is only open for special events too. They both sit empty much of the year and that was an entire pavilion. Kind of surprised he didn't mention it.
If Disney just upgraded the parking lot and opened the unused space (completely reopen the rest of the Imagination pavilion, use the Wonders of Life Pavilion including all of the ride spaces, The Odyssey, the millennium village, plus all of the expansion slots in the World Showcase, the unused sponsor lounges, and use all of innoventions East and West) and that park could actually hit capacity every one and a while.
HUGE FACT: Epcot has more unused space than any other Disney park and they've gone longer without an expansion (one in which an attraction replaces nothing) and even more crazy, the last attraction to replace nothing HAS NOW BEEN REPLACED BY NOTHING! (Wonders of life building has remained visible since 1989 but has been mostly abandoned since 2007 aside from being used as an annual location "headquarters" for the food and wine festival).
Freddy Richards you got your wish now they are getting rid of all the useless space and the Ratatouille ride is going to be in a brand new part of the France pivillion
Alexa Hewitt I'll try finding video of it, but I can promise nothing. Basically, they had a bunch of games and a light tunnel thing, which had some mini games and stuff in it too(if I remember correctly). I mostly remember it being this kind of dark tunnel thing, with neon lights projected on the floor that you could jump on and they moved. My favourite thing was a light screen colouring game in the main room(I was 6 XP), which projected a colourless picture on a panel on the wall(there were about 10-15 to pick from I think, all of Figment and/or the Dreamfinder). To colour the picture, you had to use a paintbrush-shaped gun at the picture, push a button to pick the colour you wanted, and shoot the "paint" into the section of the picture you wanted to colour. It was so fun! XDD
If you're interested in finding another bunch of unused space as mentioned in other comments you have Wonders of Life. But you also have a few other weird places. For the Millennium Celebration they built a giant show building called the Millennium Village and now it sits mostly unused as the World ShowPlace next to Great Britain. There's also several VIP lounges and sponsor locations, the most well known being GM's black window over World of Motion/Test Track. There's also one for Kodak on the other side of Imagination facing the Showcase, one unused one for Nestlé at the top of The Land, and one in Norway that can be seen through some windows near the top of one of the buildings. Personally though, I find it weird that in Imagination when you board the omnimovers in the current iteration of the attraction you walk over the trashed remains of the Dreamfinder carousel.
+FigmentsFan when I was a kid we had a relative that worked for GM so we could go up in the GM lounge. They let us hang out up there and have free snacks and soda. Then when we were ready, they took us down a back elevator to the loading area so we didn't have to wait in line. It was a great way to relax.
I've been to Epcot hundreds of times. However, Justin you find things that I've never found before when you've only been there a few times. Great job Justin.
You are hilarious and adorable. (Death Star?! lol) So glad I found you! Can't wait to visit Mission Space again and see all the things I've missed during my 100+ visits. Thanks for pointing them out. :-)
That empty space by Journey into Imagination actually IS a character meet and greet now. It's a surprise who will be there, but it's a special greeting place for people with Disney Chase/Visa cards. :)
All those interesting little known details about disney's parks may be what got me here but that Pee-Wee Herman voice is why I stayed. ...an subscribed...more enthusiasm than some of my past teachers. Good job!
Even though it's changed a lot, EPCOT is still an amazing park and World Showcase may be one of the most underrated and unique theme park experiences anywhere! Great video!!
Yea my family always hid a pickle for the little kids in our Christmas tree. It was a super fun little competition between all my cousins to get an extra present :P great video dude! Super entertaining
Justin - PLEASE don't ever stop sniffing things on the ground... that no one sniffs: trashcans, holes in buildings (smell-a-tizers), trash cans, Mars rover tracks, and so on. Too funny!!
EPCOT is one of my favorite places. Your video is a great survey of the park. If you haven't gone, you must go now and go back again in 15 years. Its constantly changing.
Really great vid Justin! I remember how we all wondered what Walt had in store for Flordia in 1965 when he announced building a new park, and saying it was going to be a a new concept ,because he didn't do repeats! I wonder what it would have been if he had lived to see it through! I really think his TV show when I was a kid inspired so many of us in so many different ways!
The upstairs portion of the figment ride actually isn't empty. All the old attractions just sit in there gathering dust because Disney never removed them.
Another weird thing is the fact that in the Norway pavilion, they used to do a Frozen character meet and greet but now that the Frozen ride is opening, they are moving the meet and greet to the magic kingdom. Also, in the new version of test track, they completely ruined it by adding strange things that don't make sense like neon trees and a miniature city being struck by lightning. It looks more like tron than an actual car test.
LOVE the videos, keep up the great work! The characters were Dreamfinder (a human with a reddish whimsical magician style beard and top hat) and Figment (the purple dragon figure you showed which was a hand puppet on Dreamfinders hand.
Let a German, who's worked at the Pavillion at EPCOT, tell you this: the pickle seems to be more of an American-german thing, since most people in Germany have never ever heard of this... WEEIIRRDDD!
Wait, you never did the pickle thing? In our family whichever kid finds the pickle opens the first present. I guess we have a lot of German heritage...
It really annoys me how EPCOT hasn't made anything out of all those unused spaces that are place throughout the park. They should at least try to make something out of the upstairs portion of the Imagination Pavilion. If people are so particular about going upstairs then Disney should have invested in an escalator.
I really hope my fiance and I can pull off going to WDW for our honeymoon. As a Californian, I make an annual trip to Disneyland but I've never been to WDW before. And I'm super excited at the prospect.
From what I've heard/read Disney World is considered the best of all the DIsney related parks. The most popular, the one with the highest attendance rate, etc. I used to live in Miami. My family and I used to go once or twice a year. I now live in Spain.
I had my honeymoon at WDW! It was the best experience. Make sure you get buttons at guest services. People will be so happy to congratulate you. We also wore bride and groom Mickey ears, but I know that is a bit much for some people!
Think that "echo spot" is weird? Check out the flat labyrinth that's near the Riverside Park side of the trail between Riverside and Pioneer Park in Kamloops, BC, Canada. Now, go to the centre and clap your hands and you'll hear a squeaking sound!
I love the thing you said about Mission Space, kids looking beyond their horizons and stuff. That's actually where the Horizons pavillion was until it was demolished in 1999 to make room for mission space, after they lost their sponsor
I'm surprised that you didn't find it weird that EPCOT has an entire pavilion building they no longer use. Located between Mission Space and Universe of Energy, Wonders of Life used to house several attractions but now sits empty most of the year en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wonders_of_Life. Also, at China it's called a parabolic point. The roof is rounded and it reflects the sound back to that one location.
The whole abandoned image works thing is SO weird. Especially with all the figment statues still up there and everything completely blocked off from the public eye.
here's something weird: the exit ramp for the monorail station is extremely long because it was originally intended to be a hub for other monorail lines connecting more of the property; foundations were even laid throughout Epcot in the World Showcase for the intention of future use.
My vote for most bizarre in EPCOT has to be the Coca Cola tasting station (to the right of the fountains in the main square of Future World near the Starbucks). Soft drinks from all over the world showing how different cultures have different tastes. Some are subtle differences, others... let's just say that "Beverly" from Italy has to be tasted to be believed!
It has been a few years since I have been to Epcot, but if I remember, most of the rides still have the original logos hidden somewhere in the ride. For example, in the queue for Mission Space, there is an original Horizons logo on one of the space stations. (Last time I was there Jeremy Irons still voiced Spaceship Earth)
YOU'RE weird.... And I like it! You du it wif CRAZYNESS!!! I recognize LesSer Herman, and about four other cartoon characters! You're pretty good, teu!
The fact that there is a whole pavillion unused and closed, which was after the Wonder of Life pavillion. Nowadays, It only opens during festivals, and many of the instalations are still stored there.
You were there during the Food & Wine expo??? The pop group Hanson performed multiple times during that event, as well as had their craft beer in the expo! I wanted to go so badly!!
kelly ann Me too!! I did find a sometimes vlog that Justin did of the first day at the Food & Wine Expo but I haven't watched it yet to confirm if he shows anything Hanson related or not. lol 😄
Something else weird is the old Wonders of Life pavilion. It's between Ellen's Energy Adventure and Space Mountain. It's a huge building that usually sits empty (a whole pavilion, roughly the size of Living with the Land). It was all about the body and being healthy. During special events, like Flower and Garden Festival, they host special events. It's mostly unrenovated. It might sound weird, but if your ever able to get inside check out the restrooms, vintage Disney.
If you go to the toy store in the UK pavilion, all the way in the back is Christopher Robin's room. You can not go in if a Pooh meet greet is going on, but if no character is there, you can go in Christopher's room.
OMG Justin, on Wednesday I saw you at Disneyland walking toward the parking structure! I wanted to say something, but I froze up in shock, oh well, maybe we'll meet some other time, lol
Do you know about the sparkly lights in the sidewalk? It is one of my favorite things at Epcot, and it is pretty weird! At dusk, in front of the Innoventions building (on the right facing the lagoon), if you go into the little area surrounded by planters, the sidewalk lights up with tiny sparkling fairy lights in all sorts of colorful, trippy patterns. It is really cool.
Hey Justin! Can you do a video on all of the park closures in Disneyland? I'm going for spring break and want to know what to expect. Really disappointed about fantasmic, the main reason why I was going!! :(
They sell Christmas Pickles out of Oriental Trading. I've been wanting to put one on the tree for years, but I'm kind of afraid that things would get a bit too competitive with my huge family, somebody might get hurt or knock the tree over. They were meant to encourage children to enjoy the tree and its decorations, rather than just rushing straight to the presents. If I have kids, that sounds like a good idea.
It makes me a little sad to see so many empty buildings. In particular, the imagination pavilion. It was one of the most crowds areas the last time I was there.
I talked to an Imagineer, apparently all the shoes you see in the new Frozen ride in Norway were thrown into the old Maelstrom ride by employees on their last day before moving on to other things. Disney recycled the shoes into the Frozen's ride shoe store to honor all the past employees, but it's still weird.
I'll tell you what's weird. The fact they closed the Maelstrom for a Frozen ride.
+Raleigh Harris Are you old enough to remember Horizons?
+Just Sheilz There's a great ride through of Horizons on UA-cam. It was captured on I'm thinking Super 8 back in 1993. Miss that ride!
skaluv yea, theres a bunch of Horizon stuff online. My favorite is the duo who would sneak into and behind the ride during ride time and closing time.
To be fair, the rumor has always been that Horizons was closed because of a sink hole. They filled it with girders after tearing it down to build the mars simulator.
***** I was at Epcot within the first 5 years so I was able to ride it many times. Easily my favorite in that park.
You should do a voice over for a cartoon!
It's like a combination of Jerry Lewis and Peewee Herman.
And Samberg & Sandler ...meets Sean ....Connerly
So is he doing like a impression or is it his actual voice? I don't mean to offend anyone but it just sounds like a impression or something like that to me.
I don't think it's his normal speaking voice. If you watch enough of his videos, it varies.
I thought so, thanks for letting me know! :)
Definitely my favorite park at Walt Disney World! I love Epcot it's so unusual that I just cant get enough of it. Great Randomland sir! Too Weirrrdddd.
I would love to hit the parks with this guy. He knows so much about them.
Talk about unused space... They have an entire pavilion! Wonders of Life and all of its glory closed after MET Life didn't renew their contract.
Jesse Fournier they built a pretty kickass DVC lounge up there. Good place to chill
I like how he's actually commentating in the park and not using just videos and commentating from home
WEIRD!! More weird things are coming!
can't wait!
Love these vids!
+LiveFastDiePoor RandomLand is my Favorite show! Weird.
+Rhianna Rosie I can hardly wait for it myself, but I'm sad it will still be two or three years before it's open
+LiveFastDiePoor some people liked the 2nd floor of the imagination thing, cough cough, (Michel Jackson) cough cough
The humor in this video is perfect. Had to rewind sometimes before I'd catch all of it bahahaha
"It's like magnets - nobody knows it's just magic!" Hahaha yes!
HUGE FACT: Epcot has more unused space than any other Disney park and they've gone longer without an expansion (one in which an attraction replaces nothing) and even more crazy, the last attraction to replace nothing HAS NOW BEEN REPLACED BY NOTHING! T.T AWW!!! I loved the upstairs of the Figment ride! Geez...When they ruined the ride, they REALLY ruined the whole thing...
+Rory Turing Yeah ;A;
+Rory Turing Ruined isn't really what was the focus here, but Kodak pulling their sponsorship was the key factor. Blame them. I do.
Yi-Phan Tua Fair enough.
What was the upstairs like and if there is any like videos or something about it if you do fine one can you respond with a link?
Alexa Hewitt I'll try finding video of it, but I can promise nothing. specialty grilled cheese sandwiches...prices starting at $9.50, thats not weird...its rediculous!
Whoa! I had no idea there was a Death Star stool there!
I have never checked out the China echo spot either. Cool.
Nice job with the vid
Awesome video! I love that you have kept Tyler Evans "Oh dang it, we're gettin bonuss" at the end! 👏🏻

Going back to Disney in April. Your videos have me dying with anticipation.
Keep it up!
The imagination pavilion is like most people's heads , not a lot is going on upstairs.
Never forget imageworks
I absolutely LOVE your vids and get sad when they're ending...then I click another of ur vids and I get all happy again (:
Hey man, just found your channel and I really like your style, you have a new sub!
I've been to Epcot hundreds of times. However, Justin you find things that I've never found before when you've only been there a few times. Great job Justin.
every time i go to disneyland/world im always on a quest to find the weird things you talk about in your videos
Dude you are the BEST youtubers I've ever watched. My dad and I watch your channel daily! Just wanted to say keep up the good work man.
Can I say that I love his peewee voice?
No
You are hilarious and adorable.
Awesome video!! Are there already videos about weird stuff at Disneyland??
Thank you, you brightened my day with your hilarity :) Makes look more forward (as if that were possible) to my trip this October!
All those interesting little known details about disney's parks may be what got me here but that Pee-Wee Herman voice is why I stayed. ...an subscribed...more enthusiasm than some of my past teachers. Good job!
Is it me or does the guy narrating these videos sound like Blanket from The Brave Little Toaster?
That actually is the guy who does the voice.
I almost stopped watching this video until you cracked the joke about "land." I'm now a subscriber. Keep up the great work!
We love Epcot! We were at Disneyworld in 2014 for a week and most of our time was spent walking around Epcot / World Showcase.
At 9:43, there is a group of people PRAYING in the Chinese building.
I always appreciate these videos man. Thanks a million!!
Justin - PLEASE don't ever stop sniffing things on the ground... that no one sniffs: trashcans, holes in buildings (smell-a-tizers), trash cans, Mars rover tracks, and so on. Too funny!!
I would love to be in the parks whilst he is filming so I can watch it from a distance coz it must look hilarious! XD
the popcorn part omg 😂😂😂😂 subscribing 👌🏼👌🏼
Hey there. I met you at Disneyland today! It was a real pleasure to meet you.Keep up the good work.
EPCOT is one of my favorite places. Your video is a great survey of the park. If you haven't gone, you must go now and go back again in 15 years. Its constantly changing.
The Meet and Greet area was actually for Figment, who is still used... :/
Awesome video edit! Unrelated, what's up with those stars in the concrete at DL Anaheim car pool area?
the grilled cheese stand is actrully a tribute to Walt Disney as he loved grilled cheese and chilli
The upstairs portion of the figment ride actually isn't empty. All the old attractions just sit in there gathering dust because Disney never removed them.
I'm pretty sure AdamTheWoo made a video about it
+Ethan Grimes Its what got him banned
+Mathieu Leblanc (The Animation Pit) I thought him sneaking into the River Country park got him banned.....either way-same result. He's back now :)
Both of them actually
+Paxton Randall We did a tour of EPCOT back in November. We got to go upstairs as part of the tour. The area is empty except for the dust.
A nice air-conditioned Clam Shell beats a hot stuffy submarine every time. My grandma always said.
love your videos, I have learned so much about my favorite man Walt Disney keep up the good work.
FrostyPines Our family just started it last year! (because I was the one who thought of the Christmas pickles and wanted to start it in our family)
Thank you for another fantastic video. And thanks for sharing all of the awesome and weird stuff WDW has to offer!
It really annoys me how EPCOT hasn't made anything out of all those unused spaces that are place throughout the park. They should at least try to make something out of the upstairs portion of the Imagination Pavilion. If people are so particular about going upstairs then Disney should have invested in an escalator.
Awesome video like always Justin. Did you know that Epcot has a tunnel under future world like Magic Kingdom? Its just very tiny in comparison. lol
I have always had a pickle ornament on our tree and the story goes perfectly a line with what my grandma has told me. This makes me so happy to see!!!
lol! i had to cover my face during the popcorn trench run but then you made me crave a grilled cheese, going to go make one right now! 😁
the weirdest thing about the pickle is not that it's from Germany, cus it isn't XD
it's an American tradition...so hehe
Rick Van Staten I am from Germany and I think it's practiced in a small part of Germany.
MrPhilosophie nah, it has it's origins in the US, look it up
Although it could be that some do use it has it has been imported to Germany too
Rick Van Staten I asked a cast member and she said an old ornament maker spread this tradition in his home town in Germany.
+Rick Van Staten no, it started in Germany, my grandparents and great grandparents are from Germany and they used to do it there
The Undertaker really?
Well maybe the pickle thing is correct but the ornament thingy
But idk, but that's....weird
I really hope my fiance and I can pull off going to WDW for our honeymoon. As a Californian, I make an annual trip to Disneyland but I've never been to WDW before. And I'm super excited at the prospect.
I hope you do go ^-^
Disney world is so fun I hope you get to come to Florida and have fun :)
Ohh, congratulations! And let's hope you get to visit WDW in the end!!
I am living for this new intro.
These videos are awesome! Death Star piece of popcorn was brilliant :-D
Think that "echo spot" is weird? Check out the flat labyrinth that's near the Riverside Park side of the trail between Riverside and Pioneer Park in Kamloops, BC, Canada. Now, go to the centre and clap your hands and you'll hear a squeaking sound!
If the top of Image Works is weird, What about the entire abandoned Wonders of Life pavilion
+Kyle Jacobs It's occasionally used and all the attractions were removed, so it's only mostly unused, not really abandoned
I'm so excited to go to all 4 theme parks in August thanks ! 💁🏼
Great job as always, Justin!
I love the thing you said about Mission Space, kids looking beyond their horizons and stuff. That's actually where the Horizons pavillion was until it was demolished in 1999 to make room for mission space, after they lost their sponsor
Love your channel! Subscribed!
That was real neat. Back to basics, no frills editing.
The really wierd thing is that as a german I only ever hear about our pickle-tradition on christmas from americans.
The whole abandoned image works thing is SO weird. Especially with all the figment statues still up there and everything completely blocked off from the public eye.
here's something weird: the exit ramp for the monorail station is extremely long because it was originally intended to be a hub for other monorail lines connecting more of the property; foundations were even laid throughout Epcot in the World Showcase for the intention of future use.
such fun videos. thanks for being weird in front of all those tourists for our entertainment. subbed
Rip malestorm I will always remember calling the troll broccoli man
this isn't the real epcot walt disney was imagining
My vote for most bizarre in EPCOT has to be the Coca Cola tasting station (to the right of the fountains in the main square of Future World near the Starbucks).

Always in motion THE FUTURE IS
That was amazing!!! I wish I could dedicate a week to Epcot
Still one of my favorite vlogs.

Here from the Spaceship Earth video to say that I also thought all of Epcot was inside the ball when I was a child.
This was my first video LOVED IT I'm going to Epcot soon can't wait now haha the only weird thing was your voice no offense
finally got to see it and boy was i amazed loved it also your amazing
If you go to the toy store in the UK pavilion, all the way in the back is Christopher Robin's room. You can not go in if a Pooh meet greet is going on, but if no character is there, you can go in Christopher's room.
I've ran into a bunch of echo things like that in state capital domes. It's awesome.
