Can I throw in a video idea? How about hardcore nuzlockes where you can only use Pokemon you have never personally used? Personally it saddens me how due to the rules themselves, you are stripped away from using some really cool Pokemon.
I really love that you are willing to modify the encounters in order to nuzlocke with certain types. I think it’s fun to see what could’ve been. I’ve always wanted to see a FRLG nuzlocke with only dark types from gens 2-3 since there are no dark types in Kanto so it would be cool to see how they do

Cool run. Some notes on mechanics: if a multiple moves can ko, ai will choose randomly. Something to consider when switching. Also, for Cynthia's milo, it was most likely not a speed tie, as mirror coat has decreased priority ( always moves last)
No way… Silph, you deserve this deathless run. It was one of the worst types in the game. And you beat with quite a unique team with odds against you. You are a champion to be held high. Congrats!
Might I recommend a Pokémon ultra moon nuzlocke with only Pokémon that change type when they evolve? As in a type gets swapped like Onix getting rid of its rock type for steel when evolving into Steelix Ultra moon is unique in that it has practically every Pokémon that changed type expect for the poster children of the gimmick: nincada and azuril. (And some Pokémon with regional forms that were added later) What’s also interesting about this is the encounter layout as only rowlet and Onix are found on Melemele island, with the remaining are spilt evenly between Akala and Poni island, and no encounters on Ula’Ula. Which means you have to get through Olivia’s trail up to the Lusamine fight with 7 available Pokémon at best before suddenly opening a bunch of new dragon type encounters. On the plus side, the Pokémon available aren’t the most commonly used Pokémon The Pokémon that change type are the following: Rowlet (swaps flying for ghost) Onix (found via island scan on Sunday) (swaps rock for steel) Eevee (swaps normal for another type) Surskit (swaps water for flying) Ralts (found via island scan on Tuesday) (swaps it’s fairy for fighting) (dawn stone isn’t until after necrozma) Fletchling (swaps normal for fire) Cubone (swaps ground for fire and ghost) Larvitar (swaps ground for dark) Exeggcute (swaps psychic for dragon) Dragalge (swapped water for dragon) (also ultra moon exclusive) Altaria (swapped normal for dragon) (only found in red portals in ultra space) Drapion (swapped bug for dark) (only found in green portals in ultra space) Scyther (swaps flying for steel) is technically in the game but can only be found in post game. With the exception of pokepelago where they have a small chance of spawning once per day (along with fletchling)
As soon as I saw the title, I just had to click it. At first I was skeptical about how Silph would pull this run since all the Ice Types in Sinnoh are late game, but I'm glad to see Silph find a work around. Congrats Silph on completing a deathless Nuzlocke, and with one of the most crapped on types in all of Pokemon no less.
Chilling touch run: steel/ghost/ice/things that live in cold climates (like penguins, bears, deep sea mons and so on). Blacksmith run: wood/tree Pokemon, steel, ore Pokemon, things you can make leather out of, hammer users, fire types, obligatory sunny day for the entire run. Thanathos run: ghost types and everything with a scythe or moves that cut. Big foot run: only mons that use kicking attacks, preferably with big feet. Weight lifter run: only strength/seismic toss/rock throw and moves that lift/throw heavy objects. For more hardcore, the mons used must be the kind to lift weights or at least to learn bulk up. Work up run: only Pokemon that can learn work up (gen 5), and it's surpisingly got even worse distribution than bulk up did in gen 3 (Swampert couldn't even learn bulk up despite being way bulkier than Combusken and having hands that can fully grab weights). Swords dance run (self-explanatory). Weather/specific weather run. Worst stinker of each type run (Hoenn isn't a bad region for this one, but Johto probably takes it for the highest number of options to choose from). No type overlap in a single party. Prof Oak Challenge...in Black/White. Not B2W2, regular BW. Have fun with 1 exp per fight and lv 34-ish max level Audino before E4. I think you might like the daycare in this one, if only because it's probably faster than grinding against the wilds, let's say the challenge starts when you unlock the daycare because otherwise it's just meanlessly cruel. Egg group locke, pick an egg group and only use that like a monotype run for species. You have to try all of them even the unknown group that only has babies, legends and a few weirdos (you get Magnemite, Voltorb, Bronzor, Metagross and other decent to amazing options even in the relatively early game) but without legendaries of course (or only the Regis and the really bad ones). Only heavy or only light Pokemon. Only Pokemon of one route (pick which one and capture them on the first route if possible/edit them in with PKHex if the game can't be modded). Stoutland FTW (at least it's better in game than all 3 starters put together in BW). Play with only Pokemon of a different gen than the one you're playing (FRLG with Johto or Hoenn Pokemon for example).
Something I kinda just realised was in the final evolved forms of the sinnoh starters, each starter can hit the other 2 states for super effective stab damage with at least one type, and even swapping piplup for spheal it still works that way which is nice
Silph could you please do a final segment where you decide which Pokémon was the MVP of the run? I think it would be really cool to hear your opinions and who you thought really carried the team the most, most of all i love your videos! they’ve gotten me to start nuzlocking myself, and truly making play throughs amazing for me again 🙏🏻
Just when I thought I ran out of stuff to watch here he comes with another video! I thought perhaps you could do Moon with psychic types and/or Ultra Moon with ground types at some point, but I'll be excited for any challenge run, that's for sure!
Hey Silph, I don't know about anyone else, but I think you should legendaries if their base stat totals are 600 or less. Since you use 600 bst pseudos and a 635 Mega Charizard X, I think it's fair. So maybe you can put a poll in your community tab and have us vote on it. Love your nuzlockes, and great job on this one.
After like a week long binge I finally got caught up! Supes entertaining and sad I just learned bout this channel a week ago but glad I am here for now on
No wonder everyone thinks Ice types are underpowered and underrated. It seems like EVERY game they stuff the Ice type area as far back in the game as possible. In the Alola games it's literally THE last area that you go to.
Great video Silph, you are amazing What about a Psychic nuzlocke on Pokemon Leafgreen with an extra: Abra should be your inicial so you can try to capture a wild one and trade for mr.mime (you can also use Jynx, trading for a poliwhirl)
Do different themes for teams. Like instead of nuzlocking to only single types, do runs of using for example: only cat/feline pokemon(persian, meoth, skitty, delcatty, liepard, ninetails, etc. Or using only snake body types( arbok, seviper, serperior, huntail, gorbys, dragonair, dunsparce etc) you get the point. It would be an interesting twist to the teams.
6:42 "onix has way lower attack than geodude" and it should never forget it, onix should always be bullied for it's tiny small attack stat
"Some female Onixs' actually prefer a smaller attack stat.."
Its
Tiny small

Scyther (swaps flying for steel) is technically in the game but can only be found in post game. With the exception of pokepelago where they have a small chance of spawning once per day (along with fletchling)
"No... She is mommy."
almost spilled my drink over that .
Holly shit
I thought me killing Scythia's garchomp with a miltank was savage you disgraced her entire bloodline with this run
You sir are a legend
34:20 As he kept muttering "I rule... I rule..."
One thing to say before the start : Let's goo Maaamooooooo
That was an amazing run. It was so cool seeing each member of the team shine.
Something I kinda just realised was in the final evolved forms of the sinnoh starters, each starter can hit the other 2 states for super effective stab damage with at least one type, and even swapping piplup for spheal it still works that way which is nice
BEST RUN I'VE EVER SEEN! NICE JOB ON A DEATHLESS RUN DUDE!
Sooo excited to see a run with the ice type!
@42:20
It wasnt a speed tie. Mirror Coat has -5 priority, so it went after Abomasnow the turn before.
Bro that Fantina battle was some amazing work! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Omg I was just watching an old video of yours yesterday wondering when you were going to drop another video and here you are!!! 😍
That was awesome! Love your stuff, Silph
I laughed so much when he said "crazy legendary happenings" 🤣
Love all the vids and going back and watching the old nuzlocks you did is a fun way to wind down at night
The antlerboy roast with the draco plate was really neat
Silph could you please do a final segment where you decide which Pokémon was the MVP of the run? I think it would be really cool to hear your opinions and who you thought really carried the team the most, most of all i love your videos! they’ve gotten me to start nuzlocking myself, and truly making play throughs amazing for me again 🙏🏻
Just when I thought I ran out of stuff to watch here he comes with another video! I thought perhaps you could do Moon with psychic types and/or Ultra Moon with ground types at some point, but I'll be excited for any challenge run, that's for sure!
Yes Finally!!! Love Sinnoh and Ice types! Ly Silph!
Keep the videos up bro! Your voice is so relaxing xD and I love the videos!
Love the added encounters to make cool unplayable runs work
How you doing man, today we on vacation making time to watch some video's. You're one of them.
Hey Silph, I don't know about anyone else, but I think you should legendaries if their base stat totals are 600 or less. Since you use 600 bst pseudos and a 635 Mega Charizard X, I think it's fair. So maybe you can put a poll in your community tab and have us vote on it. Love your nuzlockes, and great job on this one.
keep up the good work man love the series and your voice is so calming to listen too
Glaceon did as much as I did for my most recent math test. I just put my name on it
Mamoswine is an unnecessarily good Pokemon. It's decently fast, very strong and very cool
One of my favorite teams you’ve ended up with they’re all some of my favorites
Love the vids silph. ice types are underrated
After like a week long binge I finally got caught up! Supes entertaining and sad I just learned bout this channel a week ago but glad I am here for now on
Wooooo Great job on this run Silph!
"No. She's Mommy."
No wonder everyone thinks Ice types are underpowered and underrated. It seems like EVERY game they stuff the Ice type area as far back in the game as possible. In the Alola games it's literally THE last area that you go to.
Great video Silph, you are amazing
What about a Psychic nuzlocke on Pokemon Leafgreen with an extra: Abra should be your inicial so you can try to capture a wild one and trade for mr.mime (you can also use Jynx, trading for a poliwhirl)
Let's freaking go!! second deathless run and man that last fight was Way to close!
