  • This week we took a road trip from Southern California to Arizona, seeing the sites and getting in a sweet ride at Flagstaff's local bike park. I love seeing that local bike parks are becoming more and more normalized throughout my travels. Such a good sign!

Thank you! Just rode this park yesterday. Wouldn't have even known about it if it wasn't for your video. That big drop is no joke its at least 5'6". Im 5'10" and could not see the top of it when I was standing in front of it, "GoPro effect" is no joke.
Like you I was there on other business. Drove out from SoCal (Corona) as always when I drive anywhere I bring my bike. When searching out trails I remembered you did one on this, so I searched your video out and then found the park. 3mile ride from hotel I didnt have much time before it got dark, butbI made sure to hit the blue with the V in it and the drops minus the big one.
    Thanks again! Love your channel.

That park looks amazing! There is one under construction right now here in San Diego, and the plans look really good. Also, I appreciate you talking about getting in your head on stuff you know you have the skill to hit. I'm going through that right now with one of the drops at Skypark. Great video!

I've been watching your channel for a little bit here and I really enjoy these videos! Not too often you see (primarily) SoCal MTBers doing trail guides and detailed descriptions of how the trails are doing. I went through Oaks with a buddy and didn't crash miserably in part thanks to you. On a side note, may I suggest Blackstar Canyon as an upcoming SoCal trail guide/ride video? It's a less technical one but is a longer loop, with half of it uphill. Keep it up! I expect to see TONS more subscribers in the upcoming months with your production quality and creativity.

Regarding you comments at 7:05 relating to the line for the double to wood ramp to wood ramp to dirt double feature, the optimal line for that is right down the middle! You pump over that berm, and double-double! WAY better than navigating the rocks on the left and trying to build enough speed to clean it...

Tony, guess what? I've been getting out on my real bike lately! (I'm excited.) But these past couple of hot days here in SoCal put me back on the indoor trainer and I got a chance to catch up on some of your videos. Thanks, as always -- and I wanted to let you know about a new bike park up in Truckee. Just opened! Our family's going on a road trip later this summer and we were hoping to visit it, but it doesn't look like we'll be able to make it. There's another up in the Boise area that maybe we'll get a chance to check out. I'll take pics and video! Maybe we'll make it to the Flagstaff park later this year, though, because we're planning to take our bikes on that trip. I'm super stoked too, just like you, to be seeing all these bike parks opening up. Thanks for showing it.

Funny you're an x-proskater. Surfing has taken a backseat to mtb un my life. It seems like mtb is at the same place surfing and skating were in the 80s. Urethane wheels and 3 fins sent those sports lite years ahead. Now it's happening in cycling.

We were on a mountain bike ride as a group with the A1 shop guys and we hop into the skate park which is pretty fun on the mountain bike. One of the guys that I am riding with takes his mountain bike shoes off and asks one of the skaters to borrow his board and then rips the sh(* out of bowl in his socks. That's something you don't see everyday.
