    Was watching My Spy eternal city and a choir in the movie was singing this song. The song Just reminded me of what is most important. My relationship with Jesus😭

    O Lord, please hear my prayer;
    In the morning when I rise.
    It's your servant bound for glory.
    O dear Lord, please hear my prayer.
    O Lord, please hear my prayer.
    Keep me safe within your arms.
    It's your servant bound for glory.
    O dear Lord, please hear my prayer.
    When my work on earth is done,
    And you come to take me home.
    Just to know I'm bound for glory;
    And to hear You say, "Well done!"
    Done with sin and sorrow.
    Have mercy.
    Mercy.

    When I was in high school, we had this tradition of always ending our concerts with this song. It’s such a beautiful piece.

      Wir wollen dieses Lied nächste Woche im Gospelchor proben. Leider habe ich noch keine Noten zum Üben. Ich hoffe, ich bekomme diese bei der Probe. Ich habe die Noten bekommen und wir haben es geprobt.

    We love you Jesus!! We know we have work to do, but we are leaning and depending on you!! Strengthen us in these times and in what’s to come!! I rebuke any demonic activity over your people!! In the name of Jesus!!! Amen!!

    Just beautiful. My first time hearing this song (and hearing of Moses Hogan) was in 2018 at an ecumenical service commemorating the 50th anniversary of the assassination of Dr. King.

    nice... however, moses hogan does not assign the E the sopranos are singing on the last 'amen'. sang this with the Fisk Jubilee Singers, and my ear caught the addition right away... there's something beautiful about the richness of the lower voices only on 'amen' that is missed here

      Missed the basses too. The first time I sung this was a lot hard to not get lost singing side by side with the bass II. I'm baritone, had always sung bass II, but had to sing bass I because one bass could not attend the concert. The conductor asked us to sing this pianissimo without trying to hear our own voices, just to let it work.

    Es schleppt echt arg...kaum zum aushalten leider. schön gesungen aber null dynamik. und eigenartige wortbetonung, keine phrasierung.die letzte stroßhe vor allen dingen zu massiv...geht besser!

      You have no clue as to what you are talking about. Your comments are made in absolute ignorance of the printed score. The word emphasis is EXACTLY as intended by Moses Hogan. The dynamics are EXACTLY as indicated by the composer. Who wants to read your ignorant comments?
