Having a small car like this, I'll take every advantage I can get at being seen to be on the safe side. Unless I don't have wiring for it? Guess I'll find out.
There is a piece of material right under the fender. It looks like weatherstripping or something like that. What is it made of, and can it be purchased? Mine appears to be cracking, and I'm afraid I won't be able to reuse it when I take the fender off to repair my windshield washer reservoir and/or pump. I have a 2003 SLK 320. Thanks!
that was a long time ago (6 years), i think you have to detach the bumper at least slightly and then i think the headlight can stay, thx for watching and good luck - jaro

Can i do this without replacing the headlights and the frontbumper bro?
that was a long time ago (6 years), i think you have to detach the bumper at least slightly and then i think the headlight can stay, thx for watching and good luck - jaro

Yes to the headlights, but I've just removed the passenger side leaving the bumper attached - more fiddly, but doable.

This Visio doesn’t show how to get to the two lower bolts, or the two front ones by the headlight! Useless!
