What a great machine. I always like articulating machines, tight turning radius. Idle up on the hand throttle while using the hoe. Should make it operate a bit smoother. Get in the habit of fully retracting the outriggers. Could tear a car I half with one of them hanging half way out. Every machine I've ever operated, the outriggers moved at different speeds. The hydraulics seem to work fine. The pump is a little whiney at slow speed. Be sure the hydro oil is up to level. Might need a hydro oil changed. BTW, prolly takes quite few tens of liters of hydro oil. As far as the brakes, check to see if a linkage has come undone. Unusual for a pedal to go flat, with no sign of a hose breaking. Once you're satisfied with the operation, go over all the hydraulic hoses. Check for cracking and wear. It appears to have a lot of life left in it. Nicely done!
Oh man, I'm so jealous!!! I want a backhoe too!! It's on my bucket list, after buying land. Think of all the earth moving that you can get done with one. They come in handy for lifting things. I've seen farmers butcher animals by hanging them off the bucket. Also, get yourself a manual for that make and model.

How ever did they get that digger in the lorry and I was thinking how they were going to get it out and sure enough they just back it out onto the road, kinda crazy in Portugal do they not use ramps?You could get a piece of plastic and cut it to fit the rear window so it does not get wet, looks like it needs to go to the dentist to have it tooth replaced.Needs a window screen too, I would have to go out and gets some matching yellow and give it a little rust treatment and spray it will be wonderful. Hi Jesper, always fun with new things, I have a similar one, if you have any questions, just ask for tips when you use the backhoe, do you need more gas, you have a lever to the right of the steering wheel, it's the hand throttle, use it, you grind, you accelerate with your foot, it also works secondhand as cruise control when driving is not recommended without brakes have a good day
This guy has done some piston rebuilds and you'll need plenty of tools. Also, he's good for highlighting what problems you can have if you get a washer in the wrong way around and the whole rebuild needs to be dismantled. www.youtube.com/@FarmCraft101 I think you'll need someone who's done this before with you when you do the first one. Your piston seals weren't great but there wasn't a lot of fluid loss because of them. Possibly you'll manage for a while without doing them.

I Jasper. That's a big machine. Definitely get some instruction, so you can use it safely. Also download the maintenance PDF. Being a Hydraulic system, there are a number of key points that should be greased regularly (Greece is cheap, the digger is not). Re you cylinder seals. They are things you could do yourself (eventually|), and taking a cylinder of that size into a hydraulic place will have a reasonable cost. The issue you will have is that machine is big, so working on it with limited tooling and no means to safely lift parts will be a challenge for you. Having a friend who has worked on machines of this size will help, but I think you're just going to have to accept that some things on that size of machine are beyond your capability. Last thing I will say, is doing a complete fluids and filters change early on, will give you some experience working on the machine, but also give you confidence in the fluids the systems are using are good. Although I think you'll need to sit down when you realise how much oil and other fluids are involved in a machine of that size (its not a car, big boy pants I am afraid, you will have to pay to play). I say don’t spend a lot of money trying to repair this machine. Just maintain it yourself as best as you can. If it’s just staying on your land don’t even fix the brakes. There should be a throttle control for the engine to rev up higher so you don’t stall out the engine when working with the hydraulic controls

If I understood correctly, something like a hand gas would also have to be on that thing, so that you can get started with a little more power. You have to have more throttle when operating the digger at the back. The T-handle to the right is to kill the engine.
