- Combining a fine crop of winter barley with an immaculate, farm-owned New Holland TC5060, classic MF 699 wuffles up the straw with a Teagle Super-ted 160 while a 30-year younger MF 7614 carts the grain and moves the combine header trailer to the next field. Filmed in Cumbria at the end of August 2021.
Good catch David, a TC is a rare spot! Only know of one or two about, never seen that one before. Nicely done!
Many thanks for your much appreciated comment as always Jacob. I’ve known of this one since the day it arrived brand new on the farm 7-8 years ago when I photographed it cutting it’s first field upon its arrival. As you say the TC models are rare but purely by coincidence a neighbouring farm a stones throw from this one has apart from a different header size the exact same combine.
Well I never, isn't that lucky. Only a handful of smaller farms run them here. Most run old TX's and Dominators. It's one of the last combine with an offset cab in the area. Only others I know of are old MF machines, saw a nice one at Gretna a week or so back.

Yes I know who that’ll belong too!
Great video! nice to see how masseys have changed throughout the years!
They certainly have, vastly different! This farm has a great fleet of both modern and older machines. Thanks once again for your encouraging appreciation E.T
If you’re interested David, there is a Self propelled potato harvester working at Low Hesket at the moment. Was there today and I’d guess would be there tomorrow. Well worth seeing if you’re not doing anything else.
Hi Jacob, I am interested, very much so. Will hopefully get along after work tomorrow as haven’t been out for a couple of weeks. Thanks for the tip-off, I’ll let you know how I get on.
I’m not heading that way tomorrow sadly so won’t be able to tell you if it’s there or not, its at the side of the A6 north of Low Hesket. Left as you head north. Big bit of kit, really nice to see, I’d have though it would be there as it’s not really one you can just drive home every night
Any luck?

Hi Jacob, unfortunately not as I didn’t get finished work until 6 this evening so was ready for home and my supper! I’m really grateful for the call though, I’ll be returning the favour and giving you a call next time I get the chance of a good photoshoot. Much appreciated my friend.
Ah no worries, still more to be done tomorrow, still working there today so I’d assume they’ll be there tomorrow evening as the weather is meant to stay nice. Always happy to help, only so much I can help though.
