T hunting and practicing with random shit is pretty much the best advice. Some people aren't super consistent even with a consistent loadout. I personally have alotta days where my go to god gun suddenly just feels off for some reason and I'll pick up something I'm not comfortable normally and gun out. Especially when playing different games. Sometimes a suppressed SMG11 feels super damn nice to me. Sometimes the compensator feels nice I use a muzzlebrake on some guns but then switch it out because something feels weird. Its just random shit that changes every once in a while.
Very often I use angled holo on all kinds of guns. I use angled holo exclusively on Ash with G36, and very often with Ace, Hibana, Zofia, Thatcher (HK33), and even Thermite. Tbh on maps where you knownthe angles are mostly close (like top floor Oregon) the angled holo is great.
On attack i like the 1.5 and 2.0 over any 1.0 because you have to push the enemy team and i find that i fight in ranged situations more, on defence i prefer to use the 1.0 on most guns because your restricted in the building and fight in corridors
"stop changing your sens" players (professionals) have shown increases in performance after changing to a new sensitivity, eg your brain is more active than just redoing the same stuff every time. Although I think that is true, for a new player and for all casuals that don't invest as much time as a pro player into this game like sweaty shaiko "wannabees", this might hurt your performance and that's why you said it in the video. Great overall!
I dont like it because it cant have a 1:1 sens with my 1x for some reason. If any of you guys can show me how, i might change my mind. This also goes with other sights that has .5
All my friends love it, but I honestly am not a fan. For me it just feels so thick, if that makes sense. I feel better with holo or reflex because it feels quicker to draw and is also more precise for me. The 1.5 just feels a little thick and laggy
I used to think that 1:1 360 distance was the play for each scope, but found that 1:1 monitor distance is actually more beneficial to me (and my friends when I got them to try it) as the evidence from mouse sensitivity nerds bring up. Using a 360 1:1 for ACOG and zoom sights can actually fuck up your muscle memory rather than help it and may be part of the reason why Gregor prefers holos. Instead of having your body learn how many inches to move your mouse to do a 360, you hotwire your brain instead to know how much to move based on distance/zoom. That's the difference between 1:1 360 zoom and 1:1 monitor distance. Most people will get used to the latter much quicker is the consensus from science, math and psychology nerds but everyone is different so try what works out for you.
I'm not gonna lie. what scope and other attachments I should have on my guns was never a question, lol. people have questioned me for my choices, but I usually just brushed it off and continued playing with the attachments that I wanted. I personally didn't care which one was the "best" for each attachment type, I just cared about playing the game and getting the repitition and practice that you were talking about. like I personally prefer the vertical grip instead of the angled grip because it feels more stable to me. and I like high zoom because I'm a more passive player. now, during games that I'm feeling more aggressive I will put the angled and lower zoom stuff on. and never will I ever use a laser. but that's me. I never really cared what others thought, lol.
I used the acog whenever I could because my preferred style of play is lurking, holding angles and trying to see them before they see me. I kinda gravitated to 1x scopes once I started using weapons with higher kick and I liked being able to survey the area around me while holding corners and angles. Now that the 1.5x scope is here, I can have bearable magnification while not sacrificing awareness and adjacent vision of the area I’m in.
I use 2.0 over ACOG most of the time, it’s just versatile enough for close range fights while still giving me the range I need. 1.5 I use if I plan to rush/take tight angles more often.
@@nonotthehi-c Oops. I was trying to make a joke about how there are multiple penguins that play r6. That’s my bad if you thought that I wasn’t making a joke.
I have it worse. Im on console and i have stick drift. Now the worst part is that i cant get it fixed cuz im stuck at home, so no ppl are able to fix it.
I have stick drift to the left and slow turn to the right if some of you who don't know what slow turn is, it's worse than stick drift, it's where when you turn a certain way, in my case to the right, it feels like it's jammed and will very slowly turn or not turn to the right at all, so when I have turn right to shoot someone, I sometimes have to do like a 360 to left to get an angle to shoot the enemy
I wish Ubisoft would introduce some sort of flip sight so most operators could have more versatility. Personally I really enjoy the acog however as soon as I get into a sight I find the acog to be too close sometimes but with a flip sight it would allow for different plays styles without having to change our whole load out
Yeah. Definitely agree with Gregor. Just use a sight you feel comfortable with for each gun. Even before the new scopes were added, I always used Hibana’s Acog. But some days I was having a rough time with Thermite Acog so I just hop on the Holo. But one character I simply cannot use a hight magnification on is Buck’s AR. Can’t do it. Most of the time I pick higher magnification because I’m blind as hell but with Buck’s AR, the recoil is just not easy to handle for me so I just use Holo. Plain and simple 😁
So Gregor I wonder what about eye sight? Because for me some times I use red dot or 1.5x to help me see farther because sometimes I cant see far in siege so I end up having to use an Acog/red dot but on defense I used holo or something less. Does my vision affect the way I play??
I’ve seen people use pro map strats like specific peak holes and angles but still lose because they learned the strat but didn’t comprehend how to actually use them effectively
I don’t like the a-cog because it zooms in too far, and i feel cramped and claustrophobic. I don’t like the holo because it takes up to much of the screen, and makes my feel blinded. Its the same philosophy i have for airsoft. But NO ONE ever beats me in smash. Ever.
I use the Type-89 with 1.5x, red dot, and vertical grip, because I too often got caught in the middle of breaching and the acog would zoom me in too much.
Somehow I like running the 2.5 on Nomad's AK-74M and use it for close range brawling, somehow doing so is so effective for me, like it will directly get attracted to the head
i only use 1x scopes on every Operator bc it helps my muscle memory and high zoom scopes make me play more passive which is counter intuitive when attacking
So Greg, you talked about working on mechanical aim a little. What are some ways to do that in Siege? I'm mainly coming off of Apex where we have a whole gun range with weapons and targets to practice with, Siege only has T-Hunt. So what are some things, in T-Hunt, that a guy can do to build his mechanical aim?
Long story short: Everyone is comfortable with different things. For example I do better at long range with the holo compared to the 2x+. I get too much kick and it throws off my aim. I also can't stand Frost's smg it kicks too hard and has too low FPS. I will run Super 90 on every site and map unless I know I hold longer angles, the pistol is good enough for the slightly longer engagements I get into with shotguns. Meta doesn't mean meta for you it means what most people feel works best and what Pros can best utilize at the time. I also refuse to use C4 because more often than not it gets me killed I only use it on Mira and it drives my one season pro friend (like super minor team but still he was on one) nuts that I do shit like this and get away with it. Because I play to what I'm comfortable with and know the limitations of what I have.
I also use the holo on the type 89 because that gun has a lot of recoil and not a lot of ammo but I also play on xbox so really it does come down to personal preference
I just use the highest zoom if the map has long angles e.g. Bank, Theme Park but I use the lower zoom options when I’m playing aggro or if the map has more short angles e.g. Coastline, Chalet Rework.
I play iron sights on Echo, Lesion, Valkyrie (sometimes), Bandit, Jackal, Occasionally Capitao, And I’m not sure whether to use it on the type 89 or not. I just like the reticle on them so I think it’s more accurate
I've been a Hibana main on attack since she came out, and I didn't know angled and 4x was like, a crazy thing to do xD I just did what I liked, and now I can fight at all ranges aggressively because I know my gun and what my gun can do. I've put the time. Play what you guys want, not what people want. It doesn't matter what load out you have, if you can hit most of your shots on your gun, what makes it different from another load out? Nothing. It's your skill and what you like first.
I just run 1.5 on almost everything, it gives me that little bit extra magnification to challenge anchors holding lanes but is low enough power I can use it aggressively. + pretty much everybody I play has it so never have an issue with for being weird on x gun
If the gun is slow (like lion's vector) use the highest zoom available and aim for the head and if the gun is fast i use the holo or the 1.5x if its available
See the thing is I have a shitty laptop and my graphics are bad AF. The enemies don't render fully until I'm face checking. The only time I can see an enemy clearly at normal distance is a zoomed sight.
I've found with ops that have the new scopes like 2.5 and 2x, the sweet spot personally is 1.5 to 2 because it gives me a better zoom level yet i can still see what is around me
Gregor you should check out Escape from Tarkov, re4 inventory management, guns and gunfights are scary yet it's the type of round for the gun you bring along that actually decides what your damage is against flesh/armor, customization for each gun is really in depth, you can make a sleek ass, ergonomic M4, but still get taken out by a man with a buckshot, 2 round mag, bolt action shotgun who just stole someone's mustache that was just very carefully walking away from his kill
choosing sights based on how good they look on your gun >>>>>> choosing sights based on how much you like them > choosing sights because your favorite player used them
I'd love to see Gregor do some commentary on baseball after that insight in this video. I hope he does at least something when the season opens, it'd be interesting, even if the algorythm doesn't go along with it much.
Honestly yes, yes you do because you are at a huge disadvantage. Now I love Fuze and the AK 12 so I use the 2.0 even though it greatly increased visual recoil. I wish the reflex was closer to you instead of being so far down the rail. I feel like I'm literally the only person who talks about that. But for the new and normal sights, I love them. You truly need the higher optics because it gives such a advantage.
Can't add the info card for the ACOG video on mobile so I'm just gonna link it. ua-cam.com/video/WHN6Shlk288/v-deo.html

The only reason to chooses any attachments
Idk why smoke shoty with reflex looks cool
I play iron sights on Echo, Lesion, Valkyrie (sometimes), Bandit, Jackal, Occasionally Capitao, And I’m not sure whether to use it on the type 89 or not. I just like the reticle on them so I think it’s more accurate
Gregor: I use this, but do your own thing, you are your own person
Me: I will now do what he did
I like the acog on hibana because I like having distance between me and whatever I just potatoed 20 rounds on.
Honestly I find that the 2x and up scope messes me up some times when the enemy is to close...
1.5x on all guns and maybe 2x 2.5x on hard breachers
Why do you prefer 2x/2.5x on breachers? For holding breach angles?
I've been a Hibana main on attack since she came out, and I didn't know angled and 4x was like, a crazy thing to do xD I just did what I liked, and now I can fight at all ranges aggressively because I know my gun and what my gun can do. I've put the time.
Play what you guys want, not what people want. It doesn't matter what load out you have, if you can hit most of your shots on your gun, what makes it different from another load out?
Nothing. It's your skill and what you like first.
Sugar fright actually helps my hands understand how the 2x sight works
I just run 1.5 on almost everything, it gives me that little bit extra magnification to challenge anchors holding lanes but is low enough power I can use it aggressively. + pretty much everybody I play has it so never have an issue with for being weird on x gun
This video turned from a video questioning the acog to a video questioning how you want to spend your life
If the gun is slow (like lion's vector) use the highest zoom available and aim for the head and if the gun is fast i use the holo or the 1.5x if its available
12:00 is literally my friends when I try and explain I’m not using any attachment they don’t like, spot on acting. 👍
See the thing is I have a shitty laptop and my graphics are bad AF. The enemies don't render fully until I'm face checking. The only time I can see an enemy clearly at normal distance is a zoomed sight.
Aight, imma run SMG-12 Angled grip
I play vigil and run red dot and angled lol
I'm not good with it but
@@bomberxp9596 I don't think anyone is
@@bomberxp9596 deals +10% mental damage to whoever you kill with it
I've found with ops that have the new scopes like 2.5 and 2x, the sweet spot personally is 1.5 to 2 because it gives me a better zoom level yet i can still see what is around me
"more zoom better, make gun go boom easy more" a quote for the ages
It took me 4 seasons to realize
You should probably be more aggressive with a short range optic
Gregor you should check out Escape from Tarkov, re4 inventory management, guns and gunfights are scary yet it's the type of round for the gun you bring along that actually decides what your damage is against flesh/armor, customization for each gun is really in depth, you can make a sleek ass, ergonomic M4, but still get taken out by a man with a buckshot, 2 round mag, bolt action shotgun who just stole someone's mustache that was just very carefully walking away from his kill
What difficulty do you practice on in thunt? Does it matter much or is it all about refining aim and map knowledge?
2:06 "i hate it here" lol you a varsity/skittlz fan too?
choosing sights based on how good they look on your gun >>>>>> choosing sights based on how much you like them > choosing sights because your favorite player used them
I'd love to see Gregor do some commentary on baseball after that insight in this video. I hope he does at least something when the season opens, it'd be interesting, even if the algorythm doesn't go along with it much.
Was gonna check out that pc for you but their website forced an ad over the page and I don't support places that do that
I still use acog on hibana because she has a secondary smg that i am getting very comfortable with
The smiley face of blood on the wall at 6:51... :)
"At the end of the day, your brain's not stupid, right?"
Bold assumption of you to make
If switched to 1.5/2.0 on pretty much everything with the angled on everything when it's available
20min video on zoom, when I have two midterms tomorrow? yes
Type 89 muzzle is pretty good, I’d recommend some of you to try it
What's the difference between flash hider and muzzle on this gun? I've tried all the barrels on this gun and unfortunately, felt nothing.
I always use the highest zoom except for the russian 2.5x for Fuze's AK-12
But Russian acog is Russian.
For me: Russian acog > nato acog
Honestly yes, yes you do because you are at a huge disadvantage. Now I love Fuze and the AK 12 so I use the 2.0 even though it greatly increased visual recoil. I wish the reflex was closer to you instead of being so far down the rail. I feel like I'm literally the only person who talks about that. But for the new and normal sights, I love them. You truly need the higher optics because it gives such a advantage.
I think every operator should get magnifications below their maximum one. I find my self using holo on dmrs, but the acog on hibana
When you realize Greg is actually insane with his gunplay
Greg what difficulty do you do t hunt on? Or which one do you recommend
what's the weapon skin in the thumbnail for the type 89??
