- OBO Virtual Industry Days hosted by External Affairs provide resources for firms and organizations to get a deeper understanding of OBO, its Directorates, and what it takes to be a successful partner to further OBO’s mission. The Department of State’s Office of Procurement (AQM) joins us to provide insight into the procurement process and upcoming opportunities.
On Thursday, March 21st, 2 pm-3:30 pm EST, OBO featured the Program Development, Coordination, and Support (PDCS) Directorate, led by Managing Director Rick Sullivan, which plays a vital role in cost identification, project management from start to finish, and overseeing projects with unique security requirements. PDCS is composed of four offices: COST (COST), Design and Engineering (DE), Project Development and Coordination (PDC), and Special Projects Coordination (SPC). During the event, Steven Arrey (Division Director, COST), Joe Cafferata (Director, ME), Stephanie Felton (Office Director, PDC), and Peter Gulbranson (Project Management Unit Chief, SPC) provided a comprehensive overview and valuable insights into their respective initiatives, upcoming projects, and opportunities. They also shared a realistic understanding of the challenges contractors face abroad, the rewards of the work, and the qualities OBO considers in an ideal partner.
The Department of State’s Office of Procurement (AQM) Branch Chief Jillian Savage and Division Director Patrick Reilly joined and offered an insightful overview of the procurement process.
The event concluded with a Q&A session moderated by External Affairs.
