This is so spectacular. Thank you for explaining things so clearly. I wish you would have explained what type of wire rope you used and size to pull down the branches and how did you anchor it right into the tree with a screwdriver? And how do you repair the hole after you don't need the nail anymore?
Idk which I love more, Your bonsai or your beautiful pup; he’ s gotten so big! I like what you said 'less is more'. My Being a minimalist & naturalist, I was a little uncomfortable that you wired so much...even though, the outcome is amazing. I like that you more for your show. Glad you are back.
We both have a love for German Shepherds and bonsai. I took my eyes off my youngest GSD for few minutes and she destroyed one of my formal upright ficus bonsai because she thought it was a stick. It took me a while to forgive her...about five minutes of sad puppy eyes. She apologized though. Good thing it wasn't one of my older ones.
It looks like you've got some heart-pine or fatwood in that jin. I think that red will be an excellent contrast to the typical bone-white jin. Great work!
We call it ISTIMEWA in Indonesia... Greetings from Indonesia... Love it very much... By the way, have you ever see or made a video about Indonesian (tropical) bonsai, Sir?
Looks great. Thanks for putting out this content. The video on the shohin shimpaku styling was great. Can you do more videos on materials that are not so difficult to acquire? Also an apex styling tutorial would be great!
Massive flush of Spring growth for Cameron's beard. Seems to be adjusting and not too stressed from apprenticeship. Is it too late in the season to apply a little POCD or is it too risky to shock him with the stress of work and high temps of Summer in Nashville?
The new hotness! Tree is dope, video is dope, music is dope, momo is dope but Bjorn...Crocs are not dope sir. Let me help you see the light. ;) Keep em coming!
Lol - Merch, "yours will come with less sweat" (but not necessarily none) haha. Love these videos and it's given me some confidence to chop back some of my own houseplant trees. I've got a soursop, miracle berry, chocolate tree, and some citrus-no where near as cool as your bonsais (still young seed-raised plants)-but I have been terrified to cut them in case I screwed them up. So, thank you! Looking forward to your next video...will probably have to get myself some of your bonsai tools...hopefully you ship to Canada?
I'm not sure if you've already done this or not, but I was looking in the tools section of your site and it'd be really cool to see a video explaining the differences and uses of all the different kinds of tools
Love the vids! There are allot of videos of how to wire and so forth, but not many showing the removing of wire part of it all. is it possible you could make one of those vids? would be intresting to see your thoughts of when to remove and what to think of etc. xox jonas
Loved seeing Momo! Curious.was that a live stick or a tanuki.....Glad you’re hiring bikers for apprenticeships, heard a rumor...Bill wants his tree back...nice job! Keep cool and safe and keep the videos coming please!
Quick question Bjorn...watering...our water in Northern Virginia is rather alkaline (8.5 pH)...I see you water with what I assume is tap water, don't you concern yourself with using lower pH (6-6.5) water for watering your trees? Wonderful series, BTW.
Our water here is about 7.2 so I don't worry about reducing the pH. In your case though I would either collect rain water or find a way to drop the pH in your two water.
Amazing styling Bjorn - I was thinking... could the two lower branches on the left go? I'm thinking that it could create more negative space and balance to the tree? just my two cents
With that thinned and refined canopy the trunk looks too heavy. But I don’t know anything about Japanese bonsai aesthetics so that’s just my uneducated opinion. Thanks for the video.
Cameron did some aggressive pruning to the apex of himself to create a more round and smooth appearance
Great transformation. Very subtle and refined.
Excellent, good photography and to the point, congratulations
Absolutely love your channel
Very nice evolution, more elegant now! great job mista Bjorn ;-)
As well as being a great bonsai artist, you have a great way of explaining things
beautifully done
Very good job! Very compliments 👍👍👍💯

Very good styling, Scots pine is my favourite pine species, we are lucky to have a lot of them in france (by collecting) 🙂

Transformasi yang bagus!
You’re nursery has grown mature, all my compliments on that and you’re Lovely dog and lovely wife. Greatings from Amsterdam
And here's me thinking that Scots looks just fine. Then you do your work on it and suddenly we have a whole new tree. And Momo's grown, hasn't she?!
I really like the tools merch... imagine what people will ask you > A total conversation starter lol nice
Hi Bjorn, Have you considered placing a threshold stone(s) below your new chumon gate? I really enjoy your channel! Thank you!

Awesome. Do you usualy try to root the material you remove during the pruning process?
The new hotness! Tree is dope, video is dope, music is dope, momo is dope but Bjorn...Crocs are not dope sir. Let me help you see the light. ;) Keep em coming!
1:40 u should sell that. "pick by Momo, Suiseki"

Good job, great styling. Such a cute doggie too : )
Stunning styling. What are your thoughts about lifting the lowest left foliage pad higher than the lowest right pad?
Always look forward to ur vids man
I'm not sure if you've already done this or not, but I was looking in the tools section of your site and it'd be really cool to see a video explaining the differences and uses of all the different kinds of tools
We'll have a Bonsai-U video soon featuring tools!
Wait wait wait, How TF is Cameron gonna do them cornrows with no hair on his noggin?! Love the Scots Pine!
I knew it wasn't just bonsai and viking genes that got Bjorn ripped
I came to your channel for the dog lol
Bjorn, you been skipping leg day? Great tree.
Did you cut back the candles . Looks like they are gone between the before and after.
Love the vids! There are allot of videos of how to wire and so forth, but not many showing the removing of wire part of it all. is it possible you could make one of those vids? would be intresting to see your thoughts of when to remove and what to think of etc.

Hi Bjorn, Is it the right time to work on scott pines? Isn't it better in the fall ?
Normally yes if it requires heavy work, but detail wiring can be done as soon as new growth hardens in summer.
Definitely an excellent example of "less is more" on a throughly good Scotts pine; however, no where near as awesome as Momo!!
So I just collected a yamadori pitch pine. Could you tell me if it is a double flush pine?

Hi Bjorn. Do you know that Momo (not your dog.......lol) is a Tibetan National dish and it tastes fantastic.
Could you showcase your work on a ginkgo biloba?
Amazing styling Bjorn - I was thinking... could the two lower branches on the left go? I'm thinking that it could create more negative space and balance to the tree? just my two cents
Hi Jens! It will probably be removed in a few years as the rear branch develops more to take its place.
Momo is my cat's name too. His name is Mochi but we call him Momo chan.
Why you twist the branch after you cut it?
How old is this three? How the trunk is so big?
Boom! Also someones been working out over lockdown. lol
Also, Beard game STRONG!
What do you recommend, as a beginner? Get the ugliest bonsai? What tools initially, do I need? On a coronavirus budget!
Beautifull master 👏🏻
You’re a power lifter???!!!
Bodybuilder here!!!
Just trying to stay fit. I still lift like a weiner though haha.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Dude you eat too much!
