Southwest Florida Gladiators (11-1) vs Twin County Raiders (10-2)
For the first time since the 2012 season, one of the teams in the Alliance Bowl will not be the Miami ‘Magic City’ Bulls. The Bulls were looking to become the first 3-peat champions in Florida Football Alliance history, but were upended by a solid Twin County Raiders team that forced several turnovers early on their Alliance Conference Championship match up.
The Gladiators, no strangers to the Alliance Bowl, have continuously relied heavily upon a stifling defense and timely offense throughout the season to date. They are arguably the best defensive line in all of Florida.
Their last visit to Daytona Beach and the league’s championship event came in 2015 where they shocked everyone by dominating a heavily favored Bulls team in an Alliance Bowl-VIII victory. Fast forward two years later, and the Glads are back with what may be their best team ever in the organization’s history.
Alliance Bowl-XI promises to be a great match-up between two of the most talented teams in the nation.
