I would get the Oneplus 12R over any Moto phone, Samsung Galaxy A54 or even the upcoming A55, or the Google Pixel A. I love what Oneplus offers over the competition.

Been living with a OP 12 over the past three days and I love it. Fast and the battery life is no joke. I got mine in black and I always use a case - but your comments on the slippery nature of the bear 12 is true - I almost dropped mine when I took it out of the box! Thankfully I had a case handy and that problem no longer exists. I am glad I paid for the 12 instead of the R. Future proofing and overall better performance. I've had an 8 Pro for about four years and loved it but it had run out of updates and that had me spend money to get a more premium offering.
Ah yes software updates are definitely important!
How much screen on time?
Got mine 2 days ago..samsung phones looks dull while watching hdr content on netflix and prime,,,op 12 is monstrous in display department ❤

I'm thinking about to buy one, but i also see spec vise, the r version has 2.0 usb c port. Is that true?
I rolled with 12 for those zoom capabilities (i have kids), xpan, and choice of fast charging methods, but yeah the 12R is a fantastic option. I haven't been excited about OnePlus since the 9 pro. I think they're back!

Minutes using 12r...sml con i see is when switching bet notification modes, search bar pops up...wish i knew i could extend RAM like i could with 7t. I would have opted for 8/128 rather than 16/256...idk if it's worth it yet to leave my trusted 7t...

Great comparison video. My husband has the Oneplus 12 and I just ordered the 12R. With 80 watt charging I have no use for wireless charging anymore.

@@Oldasianguy the phone is amazing, the only downside is the camera since it doesn't have Hasselblad compare to the OP 12 and OP11. The phone is super smooth and charges super fast.

What about the brightness in the sun? I missed it if you covered the brightness.
What about weight difference and holding? Can the 12 be less easy to hold? because it wide and heavier

I have the s10 plus and I just bought the 12r. If you don't take a lot of pictures nor do you care about wireless charging then I think the 12r is a better investment. If you can afford it and you're willing to keep your new phone for 5 years or more I would say the 12 could be more compelling.

It's kind of difficult to decide. I'm still using my Samsung A70, and I'm considering upgrading to my first flagship. The price of the OnePlus 12 seems just right for me. I wish the Samsung S24 Ultra was priced similarly. Do you think OnePlus 12 will introduce their own AI like Samsung? Congrats on hitting 100k! It shows your dedication. Keep up the good work!

thank for your review , i want to ask you, I am confused because here in Malaysia they sell Oneplus 12 international version for 800$ , and they sell both oneplus 12 chinese version and 12R for 600$, I cant decide, why the 12 Chinese is cheaper and what should i pick?
I'm not sure but I think the chinese version is worse since you can't change the default apps.
The china version no google.. although you can install it manually, there are some instances it got buggy.. that's why.. i personally will be getting the global version, around 899 usd for 24gb 1tb version.. =)

Chinese version is made with Chinese citizens in mind...
Since china has an internet firewall, most apps the rest of the world use on a daily basis like Google, UA-cam, social media don't work in China..... China has their own alternatives for these.... So if u buy a chinese model, you will face some problems ....
Also it's cheaper because of the above reason(less demand) + transport costs...

Depends on what you value more. If you take a lot of pictures and you can't live without wireless charging then the 12 is the way. Otherwise, the 12r looks more compelling imo.
