This is my favorite episode of season 6. Not because of the beginning, or even the wolves, but so Carol could show her level of badassery.
Mine is episode 9 season 6 and episode 16
6x9 and 6x3 are my personal favourites I didn’t mind the fake out death for Glenn
Regarding 601. The truck was blocking the walkers from heading towards Alexandria. Once that truck fell into the quarry it ‘broke the dam’ so to speak allowing the walkers to head towards them. Also note that towards the end of season 5 they were seeing a few more walkers than usual. I think in one episode Aaron (?) may have even commented on seeing more walkers than usual around.
Carol is the ultimate housewife...mentor the kids, feed the elderly, give cooking lessons, save an entire community and still be back in time to take dinner out of the oven!

But as for episode one, Alexandria was the one who put the trucks there to stop the walkers I believe it was. When Rick & Morgan took Pete’s body out to burry him and they seen the quarry. They seen the trucks on the top of the hill, were gonna eventually fall due to the crumbling landscape, which it did at the beginning of the episode, which is why he devised that plan, they were doing a walk through but were forced to excute the plan early due to the truck falling sooner than expected
I imagine you already watched episode 3 “Thank You” can’t wait for your reactions to that episode. These two episodes were the ones I was most excited to see your reactions too.
I didn't know it was the Alexandrians who put the trucks there , I always thought it was other people and they just happened to benefit from it . Just didn't seem like something they would do.
Melissa Kessler maybe I’m a little inaccurate, it’s been awhile since I watched that episode but, it makes sense they did because Tobin had the keys to move the trucks in the opening scene
I don’t think it was the Alexandrians who put the trucks there. Bcuz they didn’t know the walkers was there in the quarry. I think the military did that cuz it was a camp I think that got over ran and they block them in.

I expected more respect to killer Carol for protecting the place 🤣
Carol don't be playing no games!! This version of Morgan irked me bc he caused people to get killed bc he should've killed them in the woods. Carol was definitely the MVP this episode. Great reaction/ review 💛

I always found it telling about how ignorant and unprepared the people of Alexandria were when Carol found Olivia hiding in the closet of the armory and Carol asked her if she knew how to shoot and Olivia said no!! She was the one in charge of the armory and had no idea how to shoot a gun. Crazy.

I love this episode for many reasons, but the fact that Carol and Morgan pretty much handled that mess alone was amazing! These are two of our most brutal characters who are the same side of a coin!

I'm with you!! Team Carol, Daryl, Michonne. And I agree with you that Carol had to survive ling before the apocalypse thanks to living with that Ed. Also, do you remember the cut up bodies at Noah's place? And the wall said Wolves Near. Also the girl tied up on the tree....had the W on the forehead. The wolves have been butchering people for a while. They even tried to kill Morgan in the woods. He should have killed them then and they wouldn't have killed all of the people they have killed since

Carl Papa! Haha. He killed the kid back at the prison without hesitation, but this time he hesitated, and almost payed the price for it.
The guy that blew a kiss at Morgan (I know you liked that) was the other guy in the woods that attached Morgan. No one recognized him because imo his hair was permed the 2nd time we saw him. Maybe his had a gig that required curly hair .. who knows why one would do such a thing.
Rick was dealing with those quarry walkers because he determined that sooner or later they would get out anyway. Originally they weren't supposed to go over the plan that day, so the reason they did more bad than good overall was because it was an unprepared mission.
Carl is so straightforward and blunt. I love my baby. Also that hairstyle because it's so cute on him. This episode was so good for him and nothing makes me happier.
There was actually a really great reference to JSS in themost recent twd episode.

I'm with Ralph...Carol's mos def my favorite character! Michonne's a close 2nd, but with Carol I think it's watching her evolve from the meek housewife to the badass she becomes that gives her the edge. Who'd have thought?

If they didn't find a way to get rid of the walkers or lead them away, eventually the walkers trapped in the quarry would have gotten out of the quarry and swarmed Alexandria, killing it's citizens. They had to do something or else they would've eventually been caught by surprise by this hoard of walkers. Better to handle that situation preemptively than to do nothing and hope that the walkers would stay trapped forever in the quarry...dumb logic.
Great reaction and a great episode. Them same guys that Morgan encountered came back to bite Alexandria in the ass. Just think if he had killed then they would have never found Aaron’s backpack and invaded Alexandria. That short guy who whistled that’s the 2nd time Morgan let him live. Carol was a beast! And I’m sorry but I would have gone into Carl’s house like Ralph said instead of being out there and potentially getting slaughtered by these people. And damn if these Alexandrians aren’t scaredy cats. Now you guys know what brought on the noise it’s about to get Good! I did missed Michonne and Rick this episode but it was still good without them.
I love how this episode just came out of nowhere and has you on the edge of your seats. This one was really good because I always felt the premier episode was a bit lacking. Yeah this season is pretty wild though.

The pacing of this episode is just unreal! Bet your hearts were up in your chest the whole time. Lol Ralph looked like he was getting stabbed himself during the scissor scene. Were you surprised Alexandria got attacked or were you just waiting for it happen?
