in a small band, just starting really. i was wondering, how do you get gigs and any advice for playing live?
Ask around!! Find out where ur local venues are and ask if they have any open mic events or sets available for small artists. You gotta be proactive and eventually people will come to you with gigs. Main things for me when playing live is remember to breathe, think ahead in your song about the next note or chord, and stay aware of your posture. It mainly just takes practice

Guys- This might be the wrong place to ask but i honestly need help. You all are such a nice community and i was really hoping i could have some advice...My best friend in the world is under a vocally and emotionally abusive relationship with her mom. Its destroying her. I suggested getting something like CPS involved, but she said theres kids that have it much worse and its useless- but then agian they have gotten involved once. I've tried everything, im so worried . I've been crying to myself because of how stressed and anxious im getting over it. I just dont know what to do..any help? I just want her to be happy.
