As Efra and Waleska said about BabyMonster and other songs that came out with a omph just had a hard time when songs like Magnetic exist. Plus MV views have gone downhill this year for many big groups who used to hit 200M without any problem.
Downloading and streaming are more important than ever for success. Girl groups who debuted last year were too weak to go up against Riize and Zerobaseone because in general they were not doing well in the downloading and streaming space. What made them win rookie of the year were due to physical album sales that saved them. If you sell a million copies but doing terrible in the downloading and streaming space you can still win if your opponent is not strong in that space. Kiss of Life wish they were IVE and NewJeans in 2022 or apparently ILLIT in 2024.
