You don't get slapped with copyright infringement notifications. Vimeo also,as far as I know, do not block your videos in some countries. I recently sent a video I had uploaded a while back to a friend in Iran. Even with VPN she couldn't see it. Thankfully I also had it uploaded on Vimeo. I sent it to her with no problems.
Great job man - this was a valuable video to watch. Keep putting out videos like this one and I'm sure your channel will blow up in no time. You should have a lot more subs
Fantastic Pros and Cons video sir! I’ll book mark to save to show my web clients that would be interested in being clear about the differences between both platforms
Can someone explain to me why my videos on you tube look like trash recently? I can't seem to upload videos like before despite doing all the recommended settings right. I'm uploading in 4k high bitrate too, Is higher bitrate restricted to premium or something??
which viewing resolution are you referring to? For me, 1440p and 2160p show a better bitrate than 1080p or less. I believe higher bitrate 1080p might be restricted to premium viewers now but don't quote me on that
@@AntonWongVideo yes 1080p but bellow looks worst than before too. I think so because it was fine two years ago. I'm comparing my old videos with my new ones and they look much worst. I think I'm going to switch to Vimeo.
With the whole Dislike situation that literally just started happening at the time writing this, I would not be surprised if Vimeo all the sudden skyrockets and blows UA-cam out of the water.
"free" as in you don't pay anything? most of their subscriptions are paid tiers but the compression is far less. and when vids have the option to download, you can choose original quality
I miss the old youtube. You could post a video, there was no ads, no money being paid for views or subscribers. It was just all about sharing your content. Once they started paying for views and subscribers and allowing them to upload your own clickbait thumbnails for each video and also adding in ads and premium paid options, it went downhill fast. Also you have companies paying them a few bucks to sponsor their product in their video (which is just more ads), on top of the ads that interrupt the video , it's annoying. UA-cam created youtube celebrities/influencers who then spread out to other newer platforms: twitter, tiktok, etc. It really changed things. Now everyone tries to get a viral video to become famous and rich, which in turn a lot of songs, artists, films, etc., get lost in the attention seeking ocean, so a lot of overlooked, underrated talent gets missed. Now youtube is trying to block ad blockers, the long ads with no skip options, no warnings that ads are about to interrupt your videos. Yeah way to many negatives for youtube now.
like, people are taking your videos off vimeo and reuploading them elsewhere? I mean, reporting them whenever you see them. also getting friends to report them. apart from that, stopping online piracy is a game of whack-a-mole. I'm sorry but idk if there's much to do
@@AntonWongVideo😎 I don't have any videos uploaded on vimeo yet I was just asking how to prevent people from stealing videos on vimeo before uploading them?
So disappointed with UA-cam overriding my adblocker that I pulled all my content. I don't force ads on my audience and I will not have them forced on me. I had about a dozen repair and lifehack videos. If we cant get another platform, Vimeo should really just start a section for ad free home repairs and hack videos.

They have a free Basic tier with limited capacity. I have a strong feelling small creator are going to switch to Vimeo because of all the shitty regulations that UA-cam is beginning to enforce
Well, as long as they're willing to pay continually to host. Once again, they're quite different in target audience, UX, and business structure.
Yea
Mhm, UA-cam is way too popular for me to get any attention

UA-cam pays people to contribute, vimeo you pay to join a bunch of shitty videos.
Vimeo feels a lot more focused on quality.
Bad quality.

Vimeo does take videos down they deem offensive. They are just as bad as youtube, the difference is nobody uses vimeo, so you never hear about it.
