It's easy to side with Scar after finding out what the state alchemists did to his people. It's hard not to understand his anger. Only problem is, he went after Ed ho was a baby when the war took place and had absolutely nothing to do with it. It makes for a good discussion though. Is revenge ever justified?
Personally, I’d say a very focused revenge which heavily requires context and a clear mind. There’s no room for error and going off killing everyone related. Hell! Sometimes the best revenge is simply trying to move on, as not everyone can realists get closure in their lives. Unfortunately, most of the time people have false revenge. Just sheer blaming of others who are unrelated Example: BLM movement saying white people should “apologize” for American Slavery, when the people of today have absolutely nothing to do with that, or not mentioning that Africans were the ones who enslaved their own people and sold them to the slavers, or the fact that slavery existed way before America came into existence. Like I said, I think Revenge requires a very clear conscience and mind that leaves no room for error, and that, unfortunately, sometimes revenge just isn’t possible or the right choice as context is heavily needed. HELL! It isn’t impossible to believe that there are moments where absolutely no one is in the right to claim revenge
@@couragew6260 Seriously? What you're saying about BLM shows you are ignorant, willfully or unknowingly, about what the movement's about. It's not about white people apologizing for slavery but about fixing the police brutality that has a lot of racial undertones that's happening now. Plenty of BLM supporters also want other racist systems to be fixed or removed (depending on the person or institution). In any case, it isn't about revenge in the slightest, so your example completely doesn't apply 🙄

But a lot of people don't even acknowledge that those things happened in the past which is affecting the life of people in the present too. In my country we always say people shouldn't get hounded by others for things their past generations did.but If your ancestors did horrible stuffs to other people and you're benefiting from their horrible and cruel actions how you can say you've nothing to do with what they did.

Things that improved medical knowledge and taught us how to treat injuries better or how much the human body can take. That logic is inherently flawed because we can learn things from horrors others have comitted and use them to better people's lives. Does that mean that we're all horrible people as a result of things that happened before we were born?
