Forgive us Alexei. Your short life was filled with immense physical suffering and your final minutes too traumatic for words to describe. But you soldiered on, always active, joyful and enthusiastic, even under the shadow of a terrible disease that could strike at will and cripple you for months. You were murdered with remorseless cruelty and your body disrespected and destroyed. But now you shall run free, happy and healthy, in the eternal memories of those who knew and loved you, shared with the world. May your simple courage, confidence and positivity even in the face of sickness, pain and terror shine on as a timeless example for all humanity.

That poor child , that handsome , lovely young boy . None of the dreadful poverty and injustice in czarist Russia was his fault --- there is a difference between execution and murder . His parents were executed but he was murdered . His sisters also , poor young girls , killed before they had a chance of adult life . Many , many ordinary Russian children died , under the rule of the czars , but the deliberate shooting of the royal children was just as tragic and completely unjust as the deaths of all those " not royal " children .

This was so beautiful! As I looked at the photos I just wished they never had to die. I can't believe I live in a world where they could be murdered. It seems that any Revolution is murderous. The "dauphin", the son of King Louis XVI of France, who was executed as well as his unfortunate wife Queen Marie-Antoinette, was given as a kind of slaveboy to an infamous cruel man, a drunkard, a violent shoemaker who forced the young prince to drink, to sing revolutionary songs, and beat him regularly (if not worse, but this we can't prove, yet anything could be possible with such a monster). Without anybody to oppose this violence, the boy eventually died.
With his very severe hemophilia, they didn't expect him to reach adulthood. He was a beautiful little boy.
What a lovely video, I have been a Romanov buff since I was 16 years old and at school (I'm 44 now!). Alexei was a special boy and he had four beautiful big sisters- I love the photo of Alexei and Tatiana halfway through the video, the way they look at each other.

Today we know, how Rasputin "cured" Alexei from severe haemophilia. He simply adviced him not to take Aspirin, because it worsend his condition. So he has stopped the internal bleedings, mainly in his joints.

the poor lad had hemophilia and according to the doctors wouldn't have lasted much longer than 16 years old. that is why Nicholas abdicated on Alexeis behalf is well as his own. he should have been left alone to live out his life in peace and his sister's let go to England
@@samspud2859 Agreed. The untreated hemophilia was literally a death sentence for the little guy. I noticed some good sized bruises just below his elbow at about 5 1/2 minutes into the video.
I wish that he'd never had hemophilia and that Rasputin had never been brought into the mix-maybe things might have gone differently.
