How to make boots. Frank's Custom leather boots made in the USA for work and play

In this video I am cutting out the Leathers for my Frank's boots type 1 Commanders. Frank is assisting me in the process choosing the letter and cutting them out with a press.
These are USA made leather boots I had custom fitted in Spokane Washington.

I have a pair of Wolverine 1000 Miles that have a couple spots. They likely don’t inspect the leather like Franks does. Combine that with lose stitching, and substandard glue not holding the Vibram rubber to the leather outsole show the difference between a $300 Wolverine boot and a superior boot like these Nick’s.

Why you do not use double edge knives. the inside of the upper needs more leather then the outside. The upper would be better fitting on the last

9:13 I got pissed off that he didnt rotate the cutting form by 180 degrees to match the straighter lines of the cuts against eachother. Waste of 10 square inches of leather. 😂
