Thank you for this! Don’t forget to scan the barcode on the box and redeem the $20 gift card. Once you register the new battery, you receive the voucher within 45 days. My daughter loves her mini yoto, and she has learned so much by listening. She is an auditory learner and once I cut off her screen time she had no other option but to listen and learn :) now she loves it so much
Great tip! I did not notice that. Here is more information on that for others if other people see this! “Registration is needed for verification and tracking purposes. Once registered and verified, you will receive a Yoto voucher, valued $20 (CA $30/£15/€15) for each installed Battery Replacement Kit (if you have installed two Battery Replacement Kits, for example, the voucher will be valued $40). This voucher can be redeemed against any product on the Yoto website (excluding Yoto Club). This voucher code will be sent in a separate email within 45 days. Once you have completed the installation of your new Yoto Mini battery, scan the QR code found on the outside of the packaging to complete a form and register your new battery. Scanning the code on the box will auto collect the battery serial number for ease.”
Mine told me to do this so it could “optimize” the performance. I’m worried this means they’re using software to mitigate the battery issues. What a nightmare this piece of junk has been. Do we still need to use the super special cables which I never even received??
@ I emailed them and they told me if you installed the new battery then you don’t need the new charger, you can use your old cable that came originally with your Yoto players.
This is what heppens when the netmodule is maladjusted, jested my friend david. i wholeheartedly disagree with him on such so-called "facts", or as I like calling them semi-facts or un-facts all the time

Thanks for posting that, that’s interesting. I only have the new cord but I assume that’s okay.
Be careful when taking the back cover off. I had a piece of plastic break during that step.
Yeah it really feels close to breaking on my mine each time I open/ close it

What makes you think it is the net module causing this?
