Very well described. In the early 1950's my Uncle that was a flight instructor gave me flight training. He let me solo in his Globe Swift.

One small point, the Spitfire elevators with the extended horn, as shown on the video, weren’t introduced until mid 1943, prior to this the Mk.V had the same elevators as the previous Mk.I and II Spitfires that had no extended horn section.

does anyone know which profile was used for the horizontal empennage ? I know that for the wings was a NACA 2213 (root) - 2206 (tip).
