- One of the oldest ODROID-C4's out there, and the first in a US video on You Tube, here is my ODROID-C4 running, and thoughts after owning and operating for over two years.
If you're interested in one, I recommend visiting ameridroid.com/ I am in no way affiliated or receive anything for mentioning them in the video.
Great video. Thanks for keeping us updated. Love your content!
Thank you!
Hi there,
Appreciate sharing your experience with c4.
I am working on a project that will use this board (order is processing with hard kernel) in the car.
I have Chinese geely car that use only an application called carbitlink for phone mirroring
I wanted to use these kind of boards (I used raspberry pi 4 with no luck) to mimic using an android phone with the car screen which have this app carbitlink and use it to mirror the android on c4
I would use the micro USB port that have otg on the c4 but not sure if it will work
Do you think it will work mimicking an android phone?
Hello and thanks! As for mimicking a phone, I'm not sure what is required, but if they have an Android OS image that is probably a step in the right direction. Did you have Android running on the RPi4 when it didn't work or something else? Interested to hear the outcome of your project.

Thank you for your fast response brother
Yes I installed two versions of Android on the pi but I have a feeling it is because of otg
Even though otg included in the power input usb c but some how it doesn't detect any device attached to it (I tried usb otg hub inserted in usb c of the pi
The odroid shipped and will reach me soon
I will let you know what happened when I try...
Thank you
@@ntgm20 Wanted to let you know it worked but there are some issues with screen mirroring
I will try an iPhone connection also and different apps as it looks like a software issue
Just bought one of these as i am frustrated to no end with the RPI Foundation just not supplying to consumers and choosing to forgo us, and going with there businesses consumer instead. Which to me is a very bait and switch.
I am curious though if there is some way to get a UPS for this board?
I hope you enjoy it. I had some frustration getting it going, unlike with the Raspberry Pi, as illustrated in my other videos on it. As for a UPS board, I'm not sure. The input can take a wide range from 5.5 to 13 VDC, which makes design a little simpler if using the normal barrel input. Mine is just plugged into a UPS under my desk.
I don't see what you expect RPIF can do about a general lack of silicon source, the fact is the low price they offered meant immediately selling out. You can't really have a go at them for that lol I bought a truckload of them myself since the 8GB Pi4 was £99 at one point!
@@DailyCorvid Do you still have any of them? If you do, and I figure out a repeatable benchmark, I may reach out next year when I get to testing my low powered systems against it as alternatives.

Are you a scalper?
