You the MAN! I loved the "fingers upon top of the valves and pinkie out of the ring". I believe I've said those things a few times! I am for sure going to try to learn these myself and use them with my students! Thanks (PS. would have loved to hear you do it on the Db line vs F! Ha!)
Dude you're like my favorite. I've also tried doing Clarke 2 with minor pentatonic scales and maybe it works with blues scales too. We're about to play Magnificent Madness for all-state btw, and we played sparkly eyes last year at my school's (AV) jazz band (great flugel solo). Also you probably don't remember but we played Summer Sun (I think that's what it was) like 5 years ago when you cliniced for us and talked about the Steelers. Anyway #RIPMcNally.
Hahaaaaa Yes! Nice man. I'm so glad you're digging the music and the videos and the clinics and all that! RIP McNALLY for sureeeeee. What a bummer! AV has always had a killing program, you're so lucky to be there. And Scott Agster is one of the all time greats. One of my closest friends too. You're going to love working with him for All State. Good luck on Magnificent Madness! Thanks for reaching out!!
Man Adam! Great video! Most people that play for hobby don’t know about this and they should know. My next video will be released Tuesday. I’m going to add this video to the playlist ! Good stuff!
Do what you have to do, baby! I often use that ring in different contexts. I've been in situations where I'm holding a tip jar in one hand and playing with the other.

Thanks Doc! I’m going to shed that Db and get right back to you!
Good stuff. Pat Harbison has an entire book using this method titled "Technical Studies for the Modern Trumpet Player"
Thanks for making me aware of this. Just linked the book in the description!
Awesome ! I learned them with the minors but I can't wait to try this , YOu have an eastern Europe appreciation of these chordal STRUCURES.

Hey dude, I have to have my little finger on the ring because I only have the right hand.

I only have my right arm. So if it is difficult for you with two hands imagine me. I am working on it.
