Thank you this was great and able to follow along! Now what I'd like to do is turn the final image into a circle and have the design repeat in the round for a border! :) 🙏💪

Thank you. Look into Brushes. Specifically Pattern Brushes. In short, drag your artwork into the Brushes panel and create a new Pattern Brush. Create a circle and apply your new brush to it. You control the size of the pattern by adjusting the Stroke.

@@MichaelBullo it's working! I'm an amateur! I think I need to set the color first b4 I make the brush. Work on progress!

@@shecando8917 Congratulations. This stuff is well beyond the basics so nicely done. When creating the brush, change the Colorization Method to Tints. You can also access the Pattern Brush Options dialog box by double clicking on the brush within the Brushes panel. Changing the color of the Stroke should then change the color of your artwork.

I know I'm self taught on Illustrator and still relatively new to it (started with Photoshop obv) but I never knew the align box could be used for objects. Thought it only applied for text, I feel like a massive tool myself doing these alignments all this time with guides and zooming in, omg. Had never used the copy function in the transform section either, never seen it there despite it staring me in the face, hugely useful to speed up alignment and workflow not to mention the transform fx now impacting a whole effect (expand appearance to keep complete changes as one group and combine if I please). Loving this, so very glad I found your channel as it's clear I've skipped some basic workflow behaviours. Keep up the great work, looking forward to the next upload!

Thank you as always mate. Looks like you've picked up a few cool new tricks. Hope they come in handy some time.
The Transform effect is super useful. Things can get really crazy, in a good way, when you start stacking them. If you haven't already seen it, you might find this video helpful...

I exactly followed these steps and have inside corner widgets showing, but not the one on the outside corner. What am I missing?

Are you sure you have a continuous path? Could what you think is a corner actually be where two separate paths almost meet?

Thanks Micheal! My results aren't exactly like yours bc I'm missing the corner widget for the circle to pull out the curve. I've watched another UA-cam video about missing corner widgets, but no dice. Any tips?
