I did this walk on the 8th April 2022 just a few days before this and there was a lot more snow around. It was a perfect sunny but chilly weekend with fantastic views of Ben Cruachan. Did Beinn a' Chleibh on the 9th to complete the Glen Orchy hills. The Ben Cruachan horseshoe is a fantastic but strenuous walk. Great video which took me instantly back to that weekend.
I liked the hike to the Hidden valley in Glencoe. It starts at the carpark of the Three Sisters of Glencoe. It's not a munro, not even close, but surely a nice short walk.
Yet another absolute beauty. Lovely to see your enthusiasm for Glencoe...I think you have some treats in store as you bag some of the mountains. Enjoyed those hills myself.
Our 3rd and 4th Munros many years ago now. Did these on a red hot day in August - make for an enjoyable day out. Thanks for uploading- awesome videography. 🏴⛰
You should do a prep video. I would love to see what you put into preparing for a walk with gear, kit, the doggy (!), and most importantly, the route. Keep up the good work.
Stunning shots from the drone. In conditions a bit like that, I backpacked from Dalmally, over the summits, to the Kingshouse. Crampons were necessary and there was a close encounter with an eagle. It was as good a trip as I’ve ever had. A very impressive area. I was surprised to hear you saying you hadn’t been through Glencoe before. I thought all Scots did that during childhood holidays!
That must have been an epic trip! Been pretty much everywhere except Glencoe, the drive through that morning is one I will never forget 😁 thanks for watching Atb, James
The first time I drove though Glen Coe on a clear sunny day with the snow capped mountains it just blew me away and I knew that I would be hooked on the Scottish hills for life!
Again, another few Munros that I've still to do on my long list and again crackingly (that's a word) shown off. Having done the Glencoe Buachailles I can say that you won't be disappointed in either. Brilliant stuff as always and I look forward to seeing more 👍🏼
What a beautiful area. So nice that you took time to enjoy it. I climbed these two a few years ago and would love to do them again, but I'm too busy climbing Corbetts and Grahams and Donalds now.
Interesting fact... Chochauill is based on the same root as the English word 'cockle' - the old French word 'coquille' meaning 'shell', from Latin 'conchylium' meaning shellfish, from Greek 'konkhulion' meaning 'small mussel'....!
