This is great! I love that you have given us options to help our little ones on the spectrum at school especially. I do have a couple questions, 1. how do I get my little one (he is 7, in 2nd grade) to be more independent at home during homework and also his teacher said at school he requires support to stay on task. Also, one thing his teacher has mentioned is that he is not getting the material but he does at home when we are doing homework so maybe she does realize yet that he just learns a little different. He needs a little extra time to finish his thought and flow and be ready to move on to what is next. I don't think "he is not getting it " is correct because until he is ready for what is next he won't participate and you won't see what he is understanding. He is great in math and phonics from her own inputs there are just those areas where he wont participate or say I don't know and I just think its because he is not ready. How can I help his teacher see this? Can you let me know your thoughts?

Both are okay! It just depends on what he could use most independently!
