Interesting to see that UTV's strapline has changed from "Part of U" to "Part of ITV". And now it seems that the UTV name is on its last legs with most continuity now branding the station as ITV.
It wasn't just a farewell to Havelock House but the cause of it, the huge gamble and failure of UTV Ireland that put them in the position of having to sell up to ITV. Sadly it has now been assimilated into ITV, even the continuity
They already own the entire network with the exception of STV, and it can surely only be a matter of time before that ceases to be independent as well.
True they still do local programmes, more than any other ITV owned "region" for sure but it's still crap. I thought stuff like "Kelly" was naff at the time but I'd happily have it back.

So yes, UTV is a shell of it's former self nowadays and its actually depressing.
