Can we just take a moment to recognize t-pains accomplishments? I mean at one point in time this man was radio royalty, to the point where his songs were played, and then a song featuring him would play right after. I remember watching a special on him where it stated T-Pain was on 16 or 17 different songs on the radio for an hour. Today's standards, that is very unlikely. Give this man his flowers

Ppl been using auto tune before tpain. Auto tune was not new tpain just used more heavy than other artist in the past that used it. For example Zapp and Roger in the 80s was using auto tune. Than when Cher came back out in 98 with her song "Do you believe in love after love." You can hear it on her voice. Even Mya in case of the ex there was so auto tune towards the ending on her voice. Auto tune been used before tpain. He just used it more heavy
Zapp Roger used a vocoder not auto tune. Cher used auto-tune for "Do You Believe" because auto-tune does exactly what's implied with the name: AUTOmatically TUNEs the voice the correct note. @@glassbikes
