Hah, I don't even know if this idea's taken or not but it is what it is! Yeah, kinda really late to this but while I was making a cover, this popped up in my head idk why, so here you go, Sonic and Fleetway changing turns much than before...

this is actually a lot more believable since sonic struggles a lot to control fleetway, so it makes sense as to why fleetway is getting the best of him a lot more here

Wrong. Sonic never had any control over “fleetway”, which is literally just super sonic. It would happen whenever he was under immense stress no matter what he wanted to happen. He was never able to control it in the comics ever. And the reason you’re even calling him “fleetway” is because the line of comics (fleetway comics) first brought super sonic into the comics as a demon that came out of sonic made of chaos energy and he’s the reason Sonics eyes permanently became green. This is all in the very free to read comics btw so idk why you’d be saying otherwise.
Yea and some parts like 1:14 -1:26 feel intentional with how many notes there are.
@@Codyiguess No, we call him fleetway for short, the full name is fleetway super sonic, mainly because he is so different from normal super sonic that he needed his own name.
I think this actually fits better than the original song in terms of the character going through some sort of internal struggle.

I just love the sheer amount of struggle this portrays. If the original rolled with the idea that fleetway sonic has a tough time keeping his super counterpart in check, then this shows that sonic has no control over super sonic in the slightest. Sonic is struggling to not get overwhelmed by his malicious alter ego and it looks like this chaotic nightmare is only going to get worse with time.

Not accustomed to Fleetway hitting really high notes (or whatever they're called, idk), since I don't thing it fits the character that much. Besides that, really love the idea of the video and how it was executed. Good job!
Pretty sure Fleetway hits a lot of long notes. And none of the long notes are really long.

Well Fleetway is the more crazy one so I could see him trying to contrast with Sonic’s hopeless/sad deeper voice, and him doing that makes the song sound better and shows the difference in the personalities, so I personally am fine with it, but I can see why you think that.
Edit: I also noticed that whenever regular fleetway sonic (not super) sings super fleetways parts, his voice a bit deeper compared to super’s, as well when super sings regular’s parts, his voice gets higher, so I think they have their own vocal ranges. That’s what I came up with anyways.

It really is interesting how more switching tells an entirely different story
In the original, it feels like Fleetway is always in the back of Sonic's mind. Not enough for him taking to be an imminent threat, but enough to where Sonic suffers keeping him at bay
In this one, it feels like Fleetway is practically seconds from taking over. Sonic has to give it everything he has to make sure he even has a _chance_ at keeping Fleetway in check. It also just feels more chaotic because of the rapid switching
It makes more sense when you turn on that subtitle on lol

What is supposed to be Fleetways original second turn/section, is my personal favorite, and when they join together at the long note? Just pure bliss~
it actually works really well, since I don't think Fleetway Super Sonic would canonically just wait for Sonic to be done with his turn to try and take over, since he's evil and all, he would just try as much as he possibly could to take over. This also shows that Sonic is fighting, since it's switching to him for longer periods of time. So overall, this mod is actually better than the original Phantasm mod
I think it’s less waiting just it takes longer to take control but still this works better
I was expecting them to switch like literally every note but I’m glad we get this instead which is arguably better than the original

I really like this! It feels like Sonic is having a genuine internal battle and you made it work so well!
It’s no longer just an internal struggle, it’s now just sonic and fleetway arguing aggressively
This make the viewers feel like they are more competitive toward each other, to see who can take a full control
This just makes it seem like sonic is fighting a lot harder to keep fleetway inside. The constant switching shows how powerful fleetway and sonic really are to have a back and forth that constantly over control.

to be fair, this is the amount of switching in every fnf song except this one
