This video came at a very good time for me. During the lockdown, I started learning macrame and clay modelling. So most of my walls and home corners have handmade stuff now. Mass produced decor is slowly exiting my home. I am also in the middle of decluttering wardrobes and my kitchen and have made donations over the last month. Going to an orphanage this weekend with a suitcase full of clothes that I was holding on to for about 7-8 years....stuff that I never wore for various reasons. All of these activities seem therapeutic and it feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Makes me feel happy and light! Marketing truly makes you feel like you need it all. But the ability to rise above it and say no to products feels healthy!

Super video. I would say i am not a minimalist but a stage prior maybe a conscious consumer. I slowly want to surrender myself into minimalism. Absolutely love ur content. U are the Indian go to youtuber for all things related to minimalism

Hey saloni, u always inspired me in different ways, but one thing that hit very hard is your Minimalism. I have donated the clothes which are not in use for me. I dont buy things are not necessary and I do not buy any decor or it doesnt entertain me much. All my decor are my collection of books from 10 years. I started zero waste concept. Thank you soo much for inspiring something good and important

Very nice video, I have been following minimalism and apart from many things that I have learnt from it, the one thing I have taken from it is now I am no longer drawn towards decor, I like having clean empty spaces in my home.

Fun watching your content as usual. I dont practice minimalism, but become a lot more conscious around consumption vs earlier. One thing that I can't wrap my head around is capsule wardrobes. It's as if my mind refuses to process it. Lol. I've watched minimalism videos by youtubers overseas, but we ( Indians ) don't necessarily dress up like them. If possible, please share your learnings on capsule wardrobes in a separate video . Might help address my barriers to attempting it 😁

Very useful tips saloni. Finding alternative recreational habits is a great way to imbibe minimalism. I also prefer working on sustainable hobbies now. Somehow these creative outlets keep us distracted from the maximalist mindset

Cant agree more as when we bought our house we were obsessed with collecting things and went over the top ...now leaving in the same house almost 5yr , realised thats how much we wasted our money . We are stop going shopping mall with kids specially and online shopping i thought may be more than 5 times before click on pay button . I m guilty to buy baking products as my love is baking and cooking but i m planning to change thats as well. I m doing course abt sustainability thats helps me a lot.
