This channel really does drive home how selective the mainstream media is about which conflicts they cover and which ones they don't.
Well yes as many or most media sources are owned by the same few conglomerates at least in the U.S. similar paradigm in a fair few other countries too.
Are you crazy? Everything everyone does is selective. If not, you will never accomplish your goals, big or small. Imagine going through the day not being selective on what you do. Crazy. Yes, businesses and corporations are selective on what they do, and that's the reality.

I 100% agree. What is the point of two disputing countries going to an international court to resolve a problem, typically land and territorial disputes, if one of the two countries rejects the court’s decision and authority when the court falls in favor to the other country. And the issue continues to be unresolved.
The Venezuela vs Guyana is the most recent example.

The problem with that is making countries surrender their sovereignty over to an international group that could be completely counter to their interests.
Would this international program follow western democracies’ beliefs or would it be more authoritarian like China or North Korea. How would you force countries that refuse to help the international effort to work with it; like hypothetically making the us provide aid if the UN decides that Israel needs to be removed from the Middle East

Not sure if it was mentioned, but an Australian warship had a Chinese fishing net caught in its propellers.
While Australian divers had been working to remove the netting, a PLAN vessel approached the Aussie ship. Aussies communicated they had divers in the water, recieved PLAN confirmation, then the Chinese vessel continued to "ping" near the divers. From such close range this ping severely wounded the divers, resulting in career ending injuries
Probably shouldn't have attacked the Chinese vessel then. It's called the South China sea for a reason, why is Australia even there

Australian ship did inform other ships in the region what was going on, and make it clear they had divers in the water. Chinese vessel traveled to the Australian vessel to what the Aussies thought was to render aid. But nope! They let loose a ping to injure Australian divers. They're lucky it didn't kill them.
PLAN had a chance to help the Australians and get a massive PR win, and look good...instead they were hostile

The writers and researchers on this video nailed it....to condense the amount of all the details usually ignored by the media into a 40 min video can't be appreciated enough.
A few weeks ago, China blasted an Aussie Naval ship with active sonar. They new the Aussie ship had divers in the water clearing a fouled propeller and still approached and blasted the divers. Luckily, the divers got away only with busted ear drums. And this happened in Japan's economic zone. China is a danger.
When it comes to professionalism, don't look to the PLA. They have the record to prove it.

@@JimboJamboJameshe isn’t just the narrator. He oversees the production and direction of all his channels. Yes, he has writers, editors and other staff, but he is the one that oversees it all and owns a stake in all of them.
He used to narrate for other people on other channels, but it is known he owns at least a minority stake in all the channels he hosts and oversees production in of all them.

For your reference, those “collisions” are almost intentional. Those patrol boats are ridiculous large and were designed to ram other ship. You can always ram a smaller ship and brush it off as an unfortunate accident.
The trend perhaps started with the 5000 ton Japanese Mizuho class patrol boats “accidentally collided” with some Chinese “fishing boats”. Obviously Chinese navy/coast guards found it to be a good idea and started building larger patrol boats and converting old navy ships.
The larger Chinese patrol boats have displacement of 5000 tons, which is about size of a ww2 light cruiser. The largest patrol boat, if you can still call it a patrol boat, is like 12000 tons, which is larger than the Arleigh Burke class destroyer, or the Moskva which viewers of this channel are definitely familiar with.

Could you guys please talk about when China hit Australian Navy Divers with Sonar when they were freeing an Australian Frigate from fishing nets on islands on the east-coast of Japan?
Just be glad he's at least somewhat getting into China's shenanigans. Mentioned China's extensive propaganda under another video, and he pulled the "I've been [on a highly controlled tour likely with a "handler" present] to Beijing, have you?" card, as if there's no videos showing the truth so clearly by this point. He's been tricked by them like so many, and so it will take some time before his vision fully clears.

i would recommend you follow up the vids without your own searching on the covered topics. His script writers can't catch all nuance and are prone to "pick sides" in presentation which can color perception. But yeah....I won't deny he covers thing most others won't or don't

Surprised there wasn't an update on the Red Sea Crisis. Last I heard a Norwegian MV had been attacked by the Houthi. At the very least that's 2 British, 1 Norwegian Merchant Vessels and 1 American Destroyer being attacked.
An amazing episode, but it would really help to include some maps (the channel has the word "graphics") in it. I mean I live in Niger and wrote my master thesis on the rebels in Mynanmar but I am still quite lost where what happened in this episode.
However, keep up the good work.

Offering a comprehensive viewpoint and an accurate assessment of the situation. It is crucial to understand that No Country nor Nation on Earth possesses exclusive ownership of an entire sea or ocean except for the Exclusive Economic Zones or EEZ’s of each country, This fact is delineated by the UNCLOS law, to which China willingly committed itself to obey by signing the law on December 10, 1982. The designation "South China Sea" does not imply China owns it. Just as the Gulf of Mexico is not owned by Mexico, the Sea of Japan is not owned by Japan, and the Indian Ocean is not owned by India. This are directional pathways in maps for navigational and travel purposes.
Any attempt to justify or assert historical claims over entire seas or oceans lacks logical or legal grounding in the current international relations landscape. Allowing China, or any nation, to lay claim to nearly an entire sea goes against established laws, particularly those safeguarding freedom of navigation as outlined in the UNCLOS. This not only poses a threat to the freedom of passage for countries trading with Southeast Asian nations or to international vessels traversing said body of water for official or leisure purposes, but this also raises concerns about the imposition of China's trade and maritime laws to others when the South China Sea will be under China’s control and possession.
The ongoing patriotic defense by the Philippines to protect its EEZ in the West Philippine Sea should actually and honestly be a global concern. Allowing such expansive claims of China could not only disrupt free trade but also set a precedent for other nations to follow suit, jeopardizing established maritime practices, decrees and protocols worldwide.

Why did you post so late
The strait of malacca is vitally important to China. The vast majority of all their trade goes through it. Particularly inbound oil from the Middle East. Because of this, they will do anything to maintain control of that area.
Unless there’s a peaceful, pro-China Myanmar. In that case, they will build roads from southern China to port cities in Myanmar. That’s their ultimate dream. That way they could bypass the Malacca strait. That’s part of the reason they may be turning toward the rebels. The junta has always been isolationist and wary of China, while the civilian government warmed up to them. They also realize that the military will never pacify the northern areas they want to build their road across.
And that justifies aggressive actions? That fact is true for all countries in the area, except China is the only one who interferes with freedom of navigation.
@@BubbaistEven with a pro-China Myanmar, they can't build a pipeline or other infrastructure through those mountains sufficient to reroute their Malacca imports. If China continues to escalate, expect to see a blockade at Singapore.

Our plane had tonmove more south because we were too close.

As an Australian I am really concerned about the Chinese threat, a lot of people say that Australia's strategy's is to rely and assist the US but it isn't enough, we have less then a hundred thousand people in the entire armed forces. We face a defensive dilemma that Nazi Germany faced in the 40s, there is too much coastline to defend and not enough men to do it. I mean fuck it we need proper aircraft carriers, not helicopter carriers, ones that can carry planes. We have less then 50 ships in our Navy, it is nowhere near enough but its the same issue Japan faces, can we convince our people that military expansion is needed? Australia needs a larger Navy, Army and to a lesser extent Air Force if we are to be able to at least hold our own against the Chinese PLA. The irony is that we probably assisted China reach this point inadvertently. When we retired our Majestic class carriers we sent them to China to be sold for scrap because no one thought China would be making Aircraft Carriers soon. We left a hell of a lot of tech onboard which would of helped with reverse engineering.

It's less than 50k my guy we have an armed force of around 30k haha although every single member of said armed force is trained and maintained to a standard even Chinese special forces could only dream of, we need to grow our navy and air force more than anything, the army can't do much in an ocean locked nation, we need power projection, we have all the capability our population has just been brainwashed into thinking we're safe by location or that the US would help, they did fk all in New Guinea, they were busy elsewhere, who's to say they won't be busy next time as well? We are in a horrible situation strategically, as usual the only reason we feel so safe is distance from the threat and the difficulty of taking us on, we truly do have one of the most elite militaries on the planet, but we lose at the numbers game, 1 f35 may comfortably take out a dozen Chinese aircraft without much issue, but what about when there's 2 dozen? 3 dozen? Our pilots need the tools to defend us they just never get the funding needed to grow, because our politicians are a disgrace and think we don't need national defence, and they don't want America to get sad that we don't pay them to defend us
The Chinese are not like us. They are not bloodthirsty like us. When they first visited Australia, they came and left. When UK first visited Australia, it colonized australia after killing most of the abos. That's the difference in culture and mentality.
