Welcome to the Voice of America’s News Words.
A new public artwork in the Brazilian city of São Paulo addresses the effects of climate change in the Amazon area.
MURAL
Artist Mundano created the mural to bring attention to weather disasters. He used ash and mud from recent deadly wildfires and floods as paint. The mural shows the remains of trees on a dry and broken land caused by drought.
A mural is a - usually - large image painted directly on a wall inside or outside a building or other st­­­ructure.
Murals can also be called wall paintings.
