Omg i was about 9 years old when this was out and I was ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED with this. It was the most epic thing ever I want every week. Panic attack was my favourite. Followed by Steg-O-Saurus
Nice to see Firestorm wearing Diotoir's shamrock there. Also, I like Pitbull as a robot. Shame it never competed again - the team sold it to a high school very near where I live! I'm curious as to what happened to it after that...
There's some good ones in here. Chaos 2, Firestorm, Panic Attack, Big Brother, Thing 2 - all very capable bots. A big jump up after that lacklustre Heat P. Firestorm vs Panic Attack - that was a mighty battle, two red and yellow bots tussling for an advantage, I really couldn't pick a winner. Kim Davies (Panic Attack) very gracious in defeat. (As were Trident after their defeat by Chaos 2). Chaos 2 vs Mace 2 was a surprisingly close battle, until Chaos got a good flip in - Mace's absence of a srimech was a fatal disadvantage.
George Francis, Graham Bone, Kim Davies, Ian Watts, Nick Adams, 5 of the all time great RW drivers in one episode! Bad luck to both Pitbull and Thing II, both were actually on top before the spike fucked them over
Panic Attack vs Firestorm is my personal favourite fight of series 3. Such a tactical, well driven battle from Alex Mordue and Kim Davies. People (rightly) give Graham Bone a lot of praise for his driving of Firestorm, but people forget how good Alex Mordue was too.
Big Brother were really lucky to get this far...had their wheel not fallen off, I think Grim Reaper would've won their first fight, and we all know the Ultor story by now...
Not just that match, Grim Reaper I thought could've went on to win that heat. And who knows, I wouldn't have been surprised if they knocked out Mace 2 as well. Though I very highly doubt they make it past Chaos 2.
When I saw the first episode of this series witnessing Mace 2, I had hoped there would be a Chaos 2 and it happened that they would both win their heats. Before the semi-finals came, I really wanted to see Chaos 2 take on Mace 2 and get its revenge.
What happens in these fights things get broken but good news their easy to fix.Everything is RC so the components are not very big in the bots easy replacement fixes the bodies on the other hand a little costly depending on material
I'd say the video image we all clicked on to get here is a spoiler but then pit bull being rolled over doesn't mean it's definitely going to lose, based on its heat eh
Philippa can give me as many cuddles as she wants, but there's something about a grown adult repeatedly trying to solicit a cuddle from a child who repeatedly says no that doesn't sit right with me....
Really odd to see the team Mace demolishing half the 4th season seeds, including one grand finalist, be seeded 6, and lose to the non-seeded Tornado. Such a great shame that they stuck with Gemini.
Panic Attack lucky to make it to a second semi-final round. I think this was the worst version of Panic Attack, at least in terms of control. You can see how Kim is over turning in every attempt to keep it pointed at the opponent. A far cry from his precision driving that was on display in later series. Thing II unlucky to get flipped over, but honestly if you dont' have a srimech you've got no business winning anything.
Threadoflength lets see here, son of whyachi...... megabyte (its so unreliable you can hardly call it an sri mech) and super megabyte, all have destroyed and gotten victories... although whyachi was due to having so much freedom and being a shuffler back when that was a walker
An interesting watch. I never really got into Series 3 much like Series 5 because the constant one-on-ones didn't strike me as particularly fun, especially with most robots not able to work properly. But I figured I could get a good episode with a series semi-final, and I was right. Mace 2/Big Brother was my highlight, but I won't be surprised if Panic Attack/Firestorm and Mace 2/Chaos 2 get into your top 15 list. Not pleased about the results of the first two fights though. You get the impression without the arena hazards, Thing 2 and Pitbull would have mullered their opposition. That would have put Thing 2 in the final, what an interesting turn of events that might have been.
Hmm. You have a point, but I feel that Nick Addams was the better driver, Thing 2 had a better turning circle and would simply get in and around Pitbull.
Oh yes, I'd have loved to see that. I think the controversy of Behemoth's loss definitely soured Pitbull in the minds of some people when it did get there fairly. Shame it never returned.
Agreed. Sure Pitbull were lucky, but they were imo winning at that moment anyway. tbh, I would have loved to see that battle go the full length. Would have been one of the best of the series.
That spike from the floor is such a pain in the ass
Literally for the robots hehe
Maybe you should stop sitting on it then

Firestorm wasn't popular at the time it's overrated.
Panic attack didn't drive that well in that fight
@@kono5933that panic attack series 3 machine has no gyro inside that machine and it made it impossible to control at times

Yeah, me too. Maybe Johnathan Pierce snuck into the editing room, again. XD

Yet Grim Reaper rose back from the dead in the 7th wars.
philippa forrester really loved little joe
Shame we never got Chaos 2 vs Gemini, we needed that decider!
I remember getting really upset because Pitbull lost when I was I kid. I really like him for some reason, shame he never appeared again.
I LOVE the good driving from Firestorm at 32:40. They saw Panic Attack in trouble, and went straight in to take advantage.
Firestorm was overrated
2:15 the reason why ultor was selected as an late entry for the sportsmanship award
annoying how her interviews after matches always seem to be cut off early makes me wonder if we miss anything important from her

also at 22:24 listen when Mace goes on top of the pit. Their's a strange boing noise.

BBC added SFX to the fights. That's a pretty obvious example.
8:59 and they still don't stop.
My money's on Arena Spike to win the grand final :P
I'd say the video image we all clicked on to get here is a spoiler but then pit bull being rolled over doesn't mean it's definitely going to lose, based on its heat eh
Its so stupid that arena spike does everything...
Panic Attack believes this was the reason why it lost
Chaos 2 vs Mace was the most work Chaos had to do in this series.
All the over fights hardly had any back and forth atall
Jeez, who the hell set Dead Metal off!? He REALLY made his presence felt this episode!
Never mind DM, the arena spikes are screwing as many bots as possible
Bro if I could pay £250 to own Chaos 2 I totally would. One of my all time favourites
6:14 Remember that this is a family-friendly show...
They had a bet with in the heat final
To be fair there were some pretty risque jokes over the years. Series 2 semi finals, Craig makes a joke about supple wrists and teenage boys...
So many good robots went out due to stupid arena spike
Philippa can give me as many cuddles as she wants, but there's something about a grown adult repeatedly trying to solicit a cuddle from a child who repeatedly says no that doesn't sit right with me....
"We've waited for this" no you didnt you opened your christmas presents early in the heat final

Panic Attack Gold was far worse.

I think Pitbull would have beat Thing 2 personally, but that's just me.
Hmm. You have a point, but I feel that Nick Addams was the better driver, Thing 2 had a better turning circle and would simply get in and around Pitbull.
Fair point my man, but I feel that Thing 2 was a little less controlable. I'll say this though, it would be one hell of a battle!
