Not bad for a team and car that has never been out there for that race before. I deffinetly showed that QRC can build a cart and engine. Maybe they will get some other people wanting to buy their stuff. Thanks for sharing these videos from Shawnee with us. May yall havr a good one. Have fun take care
You and everyone else had their carts set up for a slick track. It would have been nice if they had given you a heads up on working the track. Competition was very tough. You had a great main feature. And a good 2nd place finish. 👍😊
Hi, Tanner, 5th to 2nd isn't a bad finish, you have nothing to be upset about. You can't expect to win them all, besides that would put too big of a target on you. God Bless and stay safe.
Well done Tanner. @ 9:54 did you mean to say that the track conditions you qualified on were still better than the final feature? Yeah! That track prep was untimely to say the least. You certainly made the most of it though.
I hear ya barking big dog, but it doesn't exactly work like that. Suppose you are starting from sixth place (like Tanner was) now you only have to pass 5 cars to win. OK! Now suppose you actually do have the fastest car on track, but the track conditions are not favourable for passing. You go to the top and not only are you racing a longer line but the loose material underneath your wheels wont give you traction enough to get past. If you watch this race again, it's a classic example of most of the cars running around the bottom in single file. It doesn't matter how good you are as a driver or how fast your car is if the track conditions are such that nobody can pass anyone else. The best chance to pass, is coming out of 2 and 4 where if the car ahead is carrying lots of momentum will slide up high enough to slip past underneath. You can see this is how Tanner made it from 4th to 2nd but the opportunity to pass didn't really even really start untill the last 10 laps. So yeah, everyone is running on the same track, but not everyone has the same skills or cars that are equal. The idea is for better drivers in better cars to get past the less skilled drivers in slower cars, and that's where the track has the final say. At the worst you can imagine a track thats so bad, that evey car finishes in the exact same order they started. Thats no fun and its not fair on the more skilled drivers in cars that have been diligently worked on to perform well. Bottom line is he track has to allow competition and give opportunity to those who'd take advantage of it.
@@skepticusmaximus184 In my younger days I raced modified midgets on good tracks and bad. When I complained I was told hey, we are all racing on the same track. I think given the circumstances tanner did a good job. Just too much complaining about the track, even before the race.
@dalescribner3070 Oh wow, Dale! You certainly have much more experience at speedway racing than I do.... (zero). 😁 but we are at least agreed that there are such things as good and bad tracks. I'd still disagree with those who shot you down for complaining about the bad track though. It just doesn't follow that it's fair just because everyone is on the same track. I think Tanner takes his lumps often enough, and honestly it'd sound more like sour grapes if he'd only have complained in hindsight. Having called it a bad decision to farm the track beforehand, makes it seem much more like reasonable constructive criticism. The result was borne out mostly by the obvious fact that almost nobody was finding a way to pass. I'd hope that the track management would take note of such constructive criticism. I know he made quite a lot of it but he did comment *[edit: I meant compliment]* the facility on the whole, and after all that track farming job did quite probably cost him a fair win.
@dalescribner3070 Out of interest Dale, how far back would your "younger days" go, and what was classified as a modified midget back then. I trust it wasn't a transgender dwarf with bottom surgery. 😝 Were they winged and what engine capacity / horsepower did they run?
Ah man, you just ran outta time. This is why I always dislike the full track rework for the Chili Bowl. It was insane how fast you guys are going from the incar cam. F'n Flying!
Trap prep for the A made it fair and even more interesting. 2nd because you didn't drive fast enough as you claimed yours was the fastest car on the track = driver issue?
Which division did you run in? Doesn't matter, clearly you didn't understand the video. Easy to get on here on the phone and talk crap lol. Probably agree with everything Schatz and Davenport ever say.... God forbid somebody want drivers to decide!
Track prep right before A main made for a hammer down Dino session track with no passing… funny too that the ROK drivers who happen to be associated with the promoter/track prep guy started front row. Sounds like favoritism to me… but sure… fair..

Still a successful Shawnee trip
Good job Tanner. Looking forward to the next one.
Well done Tanner!!! You're getting there. One place to go. Keep working at it. Victory is at hand.
You should be very proud of where you finished. I'll take a 2nd all week long. Great job!!!✌️

We did actually
Good effort kid 🏁
You had to earn that one Tanner a good solid run.
Good run!! Made the best of it!!!
Hell of a finish!
We all cheer for the 18T and when she runs the 22C and thank to Tanner we now cheer for MGR go Parker
Great job tanner you looked super solid out there, that is a neat track!

Congratulations to the track crew for having 5 good laps of racing at the end of the race.

You were flying on the top
well done
Kiddo, great run. If you were on the pole, you'd have walked it.
Is there an age limit on outlaw carts ?
Everybody had to race on the same track. If you didn't win, you didn't go fast enough.😊

@@skepticusmaximus184 I also notice that the competition is getting pretty tough. I like Tanner and Carely and try to watch all their races.
thats a sick shirt.
At sch a big show you would think they would race without as much dirty driving.
👍
You were coming bud few more laps and it was yours
Wicked run dude!
Top 4 were all flying!
Who won?
Go carts must not be that popular because there is much of a crowd
Yup, every one on the same track

Please, anything else
Don't keep watching after the race is over. It's pretty annoying to watch him cry for the last 5 min.
Thank you for watching!
Pretty annoying to watch you cry in the comments
If you're going to be bashing him, why are you watching his videos then? Stop watching..
@@ViperSolutionI watch him because I enjoy his videos and his enthusiasm. He lacked the latter in this one.
@TannerHolmes Don't get me wrong Tanner, I have been a subscriber for years and enjoy your content. But come on man.
