this song is, even now, wildly underrated. i wish it was released bc a music video for it would have been insane. the way she sings this live the same every damn time just shows how fudging amazing she is. this song live has gotta be the epitome of country music imo. such a raw and real talent this girl has 🥰 hall of famer for sure! she’ll go down in country music history. There won’t be a country music fan who won’t know her name.
Fans wish Carrie would release a lot of songs that aren't released as singles. As Carrie put it, it is like a broken record. She has explained numerous times, she can't do that. Carrie can only release 4 singles off an album. Carnival Ride was the exception for a good reason. Her song, I told You So" was on that album, Carrie's version of Randy Travis classic, that went to no. 1, caught everybody off guard. and allowed her label to release an extra song. Since it wasn't a new song.
I loved when she did this song on her “Storyteller” tour !! I love how she always plays instruments or learns a new instrument for her shows, she literally is perfect at every single thing she does! I don’t think there’s a thing she cannot do without succeeding and excelling in absolutely everything! 💜💜💜💜 She will forever be my idol!
Well, Carrie knows critics come out and say Carrie can't do this or that. Or Carrie doesn't trick up her sleeve. Well, she shocked critics by doing the harmonica.
I have a harmonica and a black half moon tambourine. I love my acoustic guitar. It’s something about the simple things used to make great music by many legends. Loretta Lyn, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash etc..I love how the washboard sounds that Miranda uses live when singing I Got My Name Changed Back (Pistol Annies). I wish more of them kept it Country like Miranda Lambert.
Miranda isn't even in the stratosphere as Carrie. Carrie writes plays guitar drums piano and obviously harmonica. Also her vocals are far superior to Miranda's when it comes to pitch range and tone. Miranda has a stronger accent I'll give her that much. I guess that's what makes it more country to you.
i was supposed to see her in concert at the paso robles mid state fair in 2020 but it was cancelled due to the pandemic! I’m so upset because i had 2nd row seats and everything! 😩

It takes hard work and practice. She definitely puts effort into her shows.
