Maybe it's something about a superiority complex on living with so little? If you would look at the geographical distribution of where the majority of ilokanos in relative with others, it's not that lush, borderline barren? Maybe? The way we speak also, if you hear us ilokanos speaking it has somewhat of a powerful tone, when it's gentle it's sounds a bit mischievous 😂. Yes I'm an ilokano too, that some of the others would be intimidated.
