- It's been amazing experiencing a solid size swell here in Nicaragua for day 2 of surf action. Thank you to everyone for the stoke & support on this journey. My knee has been feeling really good. It's a little bit sore after long sessions, but I'm stretching and taking care of it to make sure it stays solid. Thanks for the stoke! Bombing surf in Nicaragua FOR THE DREAM!! - Love Ben

Love the channel and everything you do! I myself am frugal and used to bring snacks/food when I travel so I can relate to you trying to save money by bringing a jar of penut butter ("to save $15). UNTIL a local in Belize told me how much they rely on tourists spending money in the local economy, especially restaurants. I always avoid ineternational restaurant chains (especially fast food) and eat breakfast, lunch and dinners in private, usually family owned, local places. It's a great way to taste the local cuisine, meet great local people, and yes, infuse much-needed money into relatively poor communities. I get great food and the locals get my money...It's a win win!!! Cheers!
Enjoyed many dinners at a house in Pavones that served excellent food for like $5 a meal. I only found out about it because I was taken there by the owner of the hostel I was staying at. It wasn't a restaurant where people could walk up, just some sort of neighborhood hookup. Loved that trip

I always hit the local food trucks. My mom and aunt had never been to a food truck in their life before a Hawaii trip, now they always do the same when traveling.

I used to talk my daughter into an after-work session at Doheny. Sometimes there wasn't much to ride but just going every Wednesday evening worked great for work stress relief (I'm no stress - retired). More than once we were the only ones left out, harbor lights reflecting off the water and lifeguards sitting in their truck likely shaking their heads. Awesome times! You're breaking records for sessions / day on this trip! Stay Stoked!

Paddled out for the evening sesh at outer Popoyo (We called it The Box since 1993). Swell went from like 6' to 10' in 2 hours. So much water roiling around. Couldn't catch a wave, couldn't even get in. Got slammed on the reef in the dark, rock particles/sea urchins stuck in my toes and heels. Nica is the best place on the planet!! Retiring to Madeira Beach in 2yrs G_d willing!! For the Dream!! Thanks for the ride BG. Can't wait to see what is up next.

My brothers used to boogie when I was a kid. At the end Last year we all got new boards. Since then, I’ve surfed up and down Maryland, VA and OBX. took a trip to DR surfed 3 breaks and shortly after went to PR and surfed 5 different breaks there. Next is Cali, though I worry about crowded line ups, we don’t have that prob. As much in the East.

I love the dedication to the foam boards, but they just aren't it for these waves lol.
He has become so good on those I don't think about it much, but when he takes trips like he did to the Caribbean last year and on trips like this where the waves just call for something else I don't get it. Why not get everything you can out of any wave you surf? Definitely needed the heat of some fiberglass. Pretty sure it's all about getting paid, and I don't mean that as an insult. Looks like he finally got on one though

Ive had more than one zero wave surf at the Peak, Uluwatu, Bali and in one of those epic sessions, with a messy increasing swell where the back of the wave averaged six foot, 'floundered' around unsuccessfully trying to catch a wave on my own for about two hours after everyone else had gone in and even though I'z on a six foot four inch thruster, which by todays standards is a 'gun' - for riding big waves - and therefore the right equipment, it was like floating around on a cork in the middle of the ocean and needless to say, I didn't bother going out socializing that night.

Maybe the end sesh was a sign to remember to not over so the knee brotha, that one banger wave with the turn at the end I could tell you held back cus the knee. Hope it heals fast!

A whole session without a wave is actually just a progression of what you were already doing. You're going to the root and that's riding the ultimate wave: The Source. It's like fishing, or railfanning...sometimes you don't catch anything, but you still had fun trying. :)

Here you don't worry about the time of day so much as the best tide since it's offshore pretty much every day of the year. You should at least surf Popoyo one day, not just Colorado, especially as it gets bigger. Cheers!

Might be easiest to break the countries down by continents. So you can check off North America, lol. Pretty soon Central America, Then South America, Then Europe, then Africa, then Asia (or whatever your prefence.) Asia has a lot of tiny forgotten countries in the Pacific Ocean though, so might take awhile. At least they're by the Ocean though, lol. Africa might actually be most difficult. 🌊🏄♂️😎🍍🤙

Is that $15 for a meal? That's some serious inflation! I spent a month in Popoyo area in 2013 and you could get dinner for $3 at the little restaurant between La Bocana and Tica 2.
