This is a dope video. I own a mobile barbershop in Maryland (Parlae Cuts luxury Mobile Barbershop) I’ve been really scaling my business to do government contracts / events. I’ve been thinking of expanding into decking out a 7x14 trailer (continuing the mobile route) however, my reason for becoming a barber was to create a shop that resembled the old school vibe. Barbershops back in the day was a staple in the community/hub for people to find commonality. Lately I’ve been thinking of opening my first shop but really didn’t know how/why or even if it was advantageous in todays market. I really appreciate you making this. Helped me out as a young entrepreneur 🤝
7x14 trailer would be cheaper than a sprinter. Plus the renovation process added along to which ever investment… could make expanding into mobile costly
Thank for the reply. I have owned a Barber Shop for 30 years in the same shopping center, YES , you do become a staple in the community which is great, but communities are rapidly changing. It’s not as safe as it use to be in confined spaces with a lot of people due to disease , crime and other reasons. I love the mobile experience, it’s much more personal , professional and you can charge much more and work less. I’m about to purchase another van rather than open another shop. Plus you own your vans. I do not own my shopping center location and I have been there 30 years. Good fortune , much success moving forward with your plans.
I'm in cosmetology school right now & I wanna build my own salon out of the camper I was living out of on my UA-cam channel. Thanks for the informative video!
It's a no-brainer with brick and mortar. You gotta pay 3 to $4000 a month for the rent mobile. You pay 0 and you get to charge accustomed additional delivering fee. To come to the house? I know because I live out of my Van on purpose. Which means I pay less rent than that moment in my pocket. So, yes, Rick and morta is the worst place to do. Mobile business are the best less overhead.
With broken motor for the best location you're going to pay dearly for it rent is very high these days mobile is definitely the way to go. This is why I live alternatively myself I don't rent a regular place or I'll be paying like $15021000 for 1 bedroom because I live up to my fan part-time and I'm just multiple base. My range is basically non-existent. Which means I live like a king and I live. Alternatively and I'm bad for you. I love it.
that's why its worth putting in a Lil elbow grease. I bought a old step van for 800$ took a welding class wich was free, did the body work my self, it was another 800 on tools but it was better than spending thousands on a new truck.now I'm looking for an s.u.v. or a chasis to put the body on and do small modifications to make the body fit properly. I'm still on the journey but I know I definitely won't be spending 10s of thousands of dollars. I charge 40 for a cut at home now, with the mobile shop I can charge a traveling fee or just charge more for my cuts. hopefully after all said and done I'm confident with all my clients and new clients I can make up to 400 a day easy without killing my self working In a shop all day.

Or do you mean business?
Is your chair busted to the van floor? How do you keep it from falling when u drive?
The chair is bolted to the floor the same as passenger chairs
