First off, McBake sounds like the absolute best weed dispensary in the world! Second, Thank you! I have the 2nd gen of the erapta back-up cam and this video helped me install it.
Thats entirely dependent on your vehicle unfortunately. Due to the different means being easier/harder on various models. For example in my toyota I needed to pull the rear seat cushion up to run the wire under the carpet to the sill plate properly. Once I got the wire to the trim by the door I just combined it with my rear speaker wires and followed them up to the stereo. But what panels you have to remove to do that will change from vehicle to vehicle. Best option is to trace your rear speakers if you have deck plate speakers. And try to combine it with them for the easiest path back to the stereo.
I know it's been a year, but if you can find a way to fish it through your seats without tearing things apart just push it under your trim and run it up the side of your car and find holes to run it through to hide the wires. I'm working on trying to install this in a car I just go and I'm more worried about where to hook it up. It's a hatchback with the plate mounted on the hatch. It's a project I've not tackled before.
Splice connectors arent bad as long as you buy good quality ones. The issue is the cheap ones have shoddy connections that cause mini shorts due to poor contact. I've had alot of them melt over time due to bumps causing little arcs that add up over the miles.
Ok- you didn't need the red wire power from the reverse lights to trip the head unit. I got that. What did you do? Did you cut that wire free and cap it off, or is it one of those situations where it doesn't matter 1 way or the other if it had the "extra" power input???
Thank u this is the only video that shows how to install when the plate isn't attached to the trunk I have a hatchback and I have it connected but my wire is on outside of bumper. Do I need to connect connect the little red wire attached to the long cord? I don't right now but it works yet my parking guide doesn't show up.
I had the new 2nd gen erapta camera professionally installed and it looks great during the day but at night the LEDs almost totally white out the screen to the point where I cannot use it at night. What's up with that!?
What it let down. He doesn't really explain anything other than I'm putting something back together or putting the whole in something or mounting something. Bro if I wanted to know all those kind of things I would go to wood shop or some type of shop that had nothing to do with electrical appliances. In fact all you talk about is your car instead of the camera and how to wire it correctly. You don't have elaborate on those things over body work. But I'll give you a star for the effort. Not one time did you show yourself wiring that red wire and you didn't even explain why there's a jumper in the adapter right nor clear at all. I'm fucking lost because of you. So I'm going to figure it out myself
Just bought this camera and it is not working at all... by the way it is sold without a display monitor and the camera itself looks cheaper than one I bought before from China... so in my oppinion it is a piece of junk. the rest is up to you... mine is in the trash can.

Good deal man. Glad it helped!
@@McBake I just brought this in didn't realized I needed a drill
Only video I could find that actually explained correctly and had the same wires I had
None of these videos show how they are getting the line all the way to the front of the vehicle. Especially in a pickup
That's too easy to figure out they won't explain that

This is the best one on this install! Good job and thanks for sharing

Is the small red wire coming off 📴 f the video wire a ground?
Top vid pal!
Can you tilt the camera or it is fixed?
is the ground wire the red/black?

probably a good idea to add a rubber gromet on the steel where the wire passes through. just an idea
Link for the wire harness?
Hey! Where can I find those easy splice connectors?
Appreciate the video. It helped me.
Is this camera compatible with an Audi 2014
So I could use the ground wire coming off the reverse light to ground the camera instead of grounding it to the body of the car right?
i see that nobody responded to you, what did you end up doing to make it work?
Does it matter the side that you connected to the driver side or the passenger side does it matter or no? Bro
Cool retro watch bro. What is it?
Where did you buy the harness ?
I found it on eBay.
Great video man....except for using those scotchlocks......ugh....... lol. Thanks for the shoutout too!! Much appreciated!!
Nice vid. I have only installed one backup camera and that one looks way easier. I will definitely recommend this in the future.
I got this camera I love it super simple going to buy a second cam for place on the front since my pioneer allows front camera option owweee
Hey man I see you said you had a pioneer, when I’m driving it says front view not available
Thanks for the video i have the same car and putting in the same camera so this helped a ton!. Did the camera last ?
Amazing work!!
Thanks
Thank You!! 🤙

It's a Rockford fosgate stock lancer sub
Have you quit?

THIS IS INCORRECT FOR CARS WITH CANBUS SYSTEMS!!!!!!
Mishubitchi got it
I'm glad my license plate is on the trunk no drilling.
So how you get the wire from the camera to the taillight?
Put the wire through the license plate light.
And this is supposed to be easy ?
I’m literally watching this thinking same thing. I have maybe half of those tools/supplies. So easy!
I just brought this in realized I didn't have a drill 😭😢
Say no to scotch locks Mcbake lol
